Years of being a poorly run organization have caught up with them. Their ownership and management seem to have a nasty habit of alienating their own players and coaches.

Rather than management, coaches and players sharing a common vision and working together to achieve a common goal, the Bulls seem to practice the antiquated us vs. them style of management - labor relations.

Portis showed flashes of brilliance’s early before the dysfunction of the organization kicked in.

Mirotic was a crybaby overseas, complaining about his lack of playing time as a 19 year old (or whatever, he was real young) on the best team in Europe. He wanted to be THE MAN, there, and obviously on the Bulls he’s a trouble maker off the court (and now on).

No, he didn’t deserve to get punched in the face, and Portis is likely in deep shit for it.

Bulls fans who rode Mirotic’s jock kept saying he made the team better when he played PF. He didn’t. The coaches (two in a row now) ended up playing him at SF.

Mirotic came in the league with a lot of hype. He had a pump fake that got him a lot of free throws. The defenders figured it out and he’s not been very good, not come close to living up to the hype.

The Bulls traded Nurkic and Gary Harris for the right to pick Doug McDermott. McDermott was a dominant scorer in college, paying undersized at PF. He had NBA range from 3, and simply knew how to score. The Bulls played him sparingly and tried to turn him into a spot up/catch & shoot SF and he struggled until they traded him for not very much.

Nurk and Harris. Imagine what the Bulls would be with those two and Jimmy Butler. (And Rondo and Wade last season). A lot better than they are now.

I would absolutely take a flyer on Portis, if he passes any kind of reasonable one on one interview and shows remorse.

Jerry Krause may have been a easy target for ridicule because of his weight, and maybe he gave himself too much credit for those Bulls championships, but he seemed to really care about the players he drafted/signed and did what he could to help them be successful. The problems in the Bulls organization have always started with the ownership. Krause was caught between the owners and the players, but seemed to strike a reasonable balance.

The Bulls got rid of him and began searching for yes men that would always favor the owners over the players and coaches. That's what the owners want. The current Bulls roster is the result. Thibs gone, Butler gone, Wade and Rondo gone after one season, but Gar Forman is still there.

The players hated him. PJax hated him. He chased them all away. Sorry, I only despise Krause and think he was just lucky to be GM of the team that drafted Jordan.

Hayward snapped his leg, that was horrific!

Just awful for Hayward and BOS, but I'll personally save my tears for Hayward. He seems like a god guy. The Celtics, on the other hand, can go fuck themselves.

It also sucks that the one all star that moved from West to East went down on opening night.

Looks like Cavs vs. Warriors IV in the finals.

Not that there was much doubt, but at least there was some...

They really didn't need to show a fucking replay of that.

Gosh it hurts just to watch that play. Boston is pretty much fucked this season.

Thats assault. He should be in jail.

Even if drafting Jordan was just dumb luck, it took several other very shrewd moves by Krause to build a championship team around him. Trading for Pippen being the most obvious one.

Had to turn the TV off, awful.

Hope it is not career ending. No player deserve s this.

Maybe. But sometimes good people do regrettable things.

I don’t think he’s a violent guy. The accounts I’ve read is that Mirotic was the instigator.

There goes Bostons season. Going to have to change my eastern conference predictions

If the trade didn’t happen, Krause did select Olden Polynice. Good eye there.

Krause didn’t draft Jordan. He was already drafted when Krause took over. Rod Thorn is the guy who drafted MJ.

Anybody here ever seen this guy Milos Teodosic? 30 year old, Serbian. 6'5"/195........

Watched the Clippers game last night and he looked damn good! Court vision was superb and he was tossing some nice dimes out there. Him and Lou Williams together looked nice. ALot of turnover down there, but the Clips might catch some people off guard.
I hope they develop a losing streak against us.
