Everyone knows @dviss1 loves these kids!

Being honest, I don’t hate Barron because he hasn’t had a chance to prove himself a soulless shitheel yet. I get dviss point on that regard.

That’s fair. His dad is a shithead wannabe cult leader, and I hope his sons can break away from that. If Laker Ball was a Blazer I’d hope he does well and also hate his fucking asshole of a father. But he’s not. He’s also a fucking Laker.

Cult leader?? Dafuq are you talking about??

It’s the whole home schooling thing. He’s grooming kids under the age of consent for careers that will enrich him personally as their manager. It’s really creepy.

Bullshit.

Lonzos overrated, a stat stuffer that doesn't help his team, cringey as fuck, an awful rapper, and a cuck for letting his dad's mouth run his career.

There's many reasons to dislike Lonzo.
Kid can't shoot to save his life and is averaging 13.3/9.3/9

VERY small sample size, but if my PG is giving me 9+rebounds and 9 dimes a game while NOT being able to shoot.....I'll take those numbers. Oh ya, and 18 months ago he was at his HS prom. I could give a shit about his dad if he can contribute like that. As much as he has been in the spotlight, I wouldn't call him overrated quite yet. We'll see.

Do you trust the public education system?

I'd bet he doesn't. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with homeschooling your child. As a matter of fact, it's an admirable thing to do. Then you say:

"He’s grooming kids under the age of consent for careers that will enrich him personally as their manager"

You get that from homeschooling? Jesus....

I see that sort of thing being said often, but it misses half the picture. There's potential for Lonzo's dad to be such a distraction to the team, that even if Lonzo contributes on the court, he may be a net negative. You spend enough time around the team to know the value of avoiding bulletin board material.

That's why you've always been such a huge Michael Carter-Williams fan, right?

Looks like you spoke a little to soon. After 4 games UTA is 29th in the league in scoring at 95.3 ppg. The league average is currently 106.0 ppg. Only the lowly Knicks are worse.

They are who I to thought they were.

Hm. I notice you wait until after they've just played the Clippers to respond. So 1/4 of their games have been against the toughest D in the league.

In fact, the average score against the 4 teams they've played (Denver, Minny, OKC and the Clips) is 98.75. So yes, they have scored less than they should, but actually they outscored the average against all but Minnesota. But I guess you knew that, because "they are who you thought they are".

If anyone needs to be suspended, it’s Fultz for that shooting form. My six year old’s looks better than that.

Cue @Boob-No-More smackdown in 3... 2... 1...

They've broken 100 once. It's not like the Clipper game severely skewed their numbers.
See my follow up. The only time they scored below the average for the teams they played is when they scored 97 against Minny. ALSO: their team fg% is 5th in the league, so MAYBE it has something to do with pace and not to do with "struggling to score"?

They scored 84 against the Clips who are allowing 88 on average. They scored 96 against the Thunder who are allowing 98 on average. And of course, 97 against the Wolves who are allowing 111 on average. So, they've been below their opponents' current season average 3 of 4 games.

You are correct sir. I was being sloppy.
But having said that, they also managed to beat OKC by 9, so why score more than you need?

One thing I will definitely say: my prediction that Gobert will push for MVP is not looking likely at all. Utah's main strength is its bench and Gobert's +/- is TERRIBLE.

I watched a little of the Clips / Jazz game yesterday. The Jazz are who I thought they are - they have problems scoring. Sure, the Clips were very active defensively - but the Jazz's offense is stale - and the only thing working on it is Rubio (which unfortunately does not have great scorers next to him to assist to). They did not have Hood in the game - so maybe that is an issue - but they are certainly a great defensive team with sub-par offense.

Apparently Josh Smith wasn't all that long for playing in Israel. Can't blame him; he was certainly the best player on Haifa.

How much of a boondoggle for Dallas is Wes Matthews? He's an 11.3 PER and hasn't shot over 40% since joining the Mavs. I feel for him losing his game, though he can cry into a pile of $100 bills every night

LOL, right the Clippers have the toughest defense in the league. They've played three games and have shut down the mighty Suns, the powerhouse Lakers and a team that struggles to break 100 against anyone.

When you're PG rebounds, it just means that your big guys aren't. Rebounds by PGs rarely save offensive rebounds. I'd rather have my PG get 5 rebounds and go for more outlet passes in order to move up the court faster and let his big guys rebound. Rebounds in a PG doesn't matter.

He's averaging 13.3ppg just because he plays a lot and shoots a lot. He shoots 34% from the field, 29% from 3pt, 50% from the line, and has a TS% of 41%. That's horrible, and every time he shoots he's hurting his team. He has -0.1 win shares so far, which is extremely hard to do. For comparison, Meyers Leonard has +0.1 Win Shares...

His passing is overrated. Lets look at all his assists in this highlight film from his game against the Pelicans.

Assist 1 & 2: Bad pick n' roll coverage by the defense, basic passes that any PG could make.
Assist 3: Gets himself into trouble, desperately kicks the ball out to Kuzma who hits a contested 3.
Assist 4: Bad transition defense, leaves Clarkson wide open for Ball to make an easy pass that anybody could make.
Assist 5: Lob pass that was actually good.
Assist 6: Horrible pick n roll coverage, Ball makes extremely simple pass to Nance who just walks down the lane for a layup.
Assist 7: Passes to Caldwell-Pope near halfcourt, who takes a couple dribbles into a mid-range pullup. All KCP, not Lonzo.
Assist 8: The same bad pick n roll coverage leaving the big guy open in the middle of the court for another easy pocket pass.
Assist 9: Great over the shoulder pass.

There was a whopping 2 impressive passes. His passing isn't on the level of someone like Chris Paul. It's more them running everything through Lonzo when he's on the court, with a shit ton of pick n roll.

Sure, but be honest and admit you probably thought that well before he was a Laker and his dad was the primary influence.

And yes @BonesJones I will defend any kid who is attacked because of their parents. They can't choose those, they must simply deal with them.

Now, that's the ONLY reason I defend him.
There's just many other reasons to not like him. I don't like any player that gets overhyped and has done nothing to earn the attention he's getting (I guess that's due to his dad). However, he also comes off as one of those guys that has that cocky "IDGAF" attitude. It comes off as humble to some, it just comes across differently to me. His rapping is super cringe-worthy, and some of the stuff (like the draft day video from his hotel room). I also don't like his game and think he's just a stat chaser/stat stuffer who doesn't really help his team. All those are reasons I dislike him that aren't because of his father or the fact that he's a Laker.

Rockets with come from behind Victory at buzzer onna Gordon shot at Philly.

Anytime anyone posts that the rockets win, it gets me one step closer to getting the necessary proof that any posters posting good rockets news gets banned for pain and suffering.
