Gordon trying to take out Utahs best players...what a bunch of bitches

So do you guys think Oladipo and Lillard would be a better backcourt than McCollum and Lillard?
Oladipo is basically better than CJ at everything bar shooting where he is not even much worse. No brainer.

If you reverse the coaches, the results probably would have reversed. It's Stotts.

Oladipo sure is fun to watch --great game 7 going on here so far -- and I love how real Van Gundy is commentating, but whoever the other blowhards are should be banned from television! /
You don't like Hubie Brown's color commentating?

Among all your posts in here, do I sense an animosity toward Stotts?

I can't stand him. It's literally the same 5 or 6 lines said in the same dead pan voice. If I wanted to learn basketball, I'd enroll in a class he should be teaching so I can sit in the back and continue not listening.

Why sugar coat it?

You make a good point but you also have to make shots to draw a defender and open up a lane. Aminu being a huge liability because he can't make a jumper. Aminu gets better numbers in the playoffs because teams beg him to shoot it. They lag off and use his defender to clog the lanes and double Dame and CJ. When Aminu is left wide open he gets respectable numbers when he can set and shoot as shown recently in the playoffs. But lets take the Warriors for example. If the Pels leave Durant, Thompson, Iggy, or Curry or even Green open like that? Any of those players have a career night at the three point line. Aminu cannot make a shot as soon as he has to move. We have seen this over and over again. Then when he does move he has to try to get to the basket with the ball in his hands. This is a total trainwreck as we have all witnessed over and over again. The reason the Blazers made a run in March was because both Aminu and Harkless were making shots. Both Ed Davis and Nurkic could post up and look for a shooter on the perimeter. When they found one, that shooter made the defense pay. Then as it happened a few times, the cuts would start. The PnR would open up and Nurkic would end up with 4-5 assists. That stretch is actually what got him averaging 2 this year. He was down to 1.4 through January.
To put it simply.... The Blazers need more reliable shooting from the perimeter to have those open cuts to the basket. It's what spreading the floor is all about. Because the Warriors have absolutely LIGHTS OUT shooting they have more open looks at the basket.
I mean, the corner defender was helping onto Nurk pick n rolls because Nurk would be momentarily open, and should've dove because of that. Or when Dame would drive, they would load up onto him where the corner defender would be up with his eyes fully on Dame. Those are times when you dive corner. It wasn't that they needed better outside shooting to open up those guys, as those guys were loading up on Dame. Their defenders were helping so much that they would have a clear runway to the rim along the baseline, and they wouldn't cut. I fail to see how that's because of some sort of lack of outside shooting. I'm simply talking about cutting at the right times to punish teams when they load up on Dame while taking the good/poor shooter variable out of the equation.

Yes, if we had a bunch of great 3pt shooters, it's make sense for them to camp.. however, slightly contested or open layups are always better than wide open 3s, and those rim cuts wouldve resulted in easy finishes.

It's going to be GS and Houston. I know the NBA likes that.
In the East, I am glad to see the Boston-Philly playoff rivalry under way again and I'll back the Sixers all the way. Hell, I'm only 35 miles away from Philly.

Like seriously? What the fuck makes them clutch when Harden is known for underperforming in the playoffs (sans a few games like yesterday).

Didn't Clutch City become a thing (taking over for Choke City) after their two championships? I don't believe it's a recent thing.

As a left coaster, it sometimes blows my mind how close together these northeast cities are to each other.

East is more interesting in the playoffs right now. Both matchups should be competitive.

Rooting for Sixers there too. I think they can make the Finals.

Go Pelicans!!
I'm rooting for them too. They took a beating in that first game. However, GS will end up at the next round

Its like a huge sandwich with people in between. Too many people!

Growing up I was a huge Sixers fan and hated the Celtics as the Sixers alway seemed to never pass them by. Hal Greer was my favorite NBA player.

You are just saying this as a joke right? You know why they are called that don’t you?

Now I know your age bracket. I liked Billy Cunningham. Series starts tonight on TNT 8Pm EST.
My favorite was Dr. J.

And Austin was saying keep Austin weird 5 years before Portland adopted it.

Big fucking deal
For Texas, Austin is weird. They actually use at least some logic in that town.

My niece use to live there and told me that most residents there considered governor (at the time) Rick Perry to be an embarrassment.

He won with 39% of Texans voting for him.
