We're arguably the worst "old" team (well after the Lakers, of course), while the Raptors are amazingly good for being so young:

The grizzlies are younger than the raptors with a better record. Why the love for Toronto? Seems odd.

Ok so NBA suspended LeThug for one game. Just imagine if it’s the other way around. How many games Stewart gets?

Stewart 3-5, LeBron 0.

Only in the bassackward logic of the NBA does Stewart get a harsher penalty than the guy who busts open his face.

I guess Stewart was supposed to apologize for being in LeBron's world and thank him for the injury?

Ive watched the video numerous times and I conclude, as he was falling back he cocked his arm with a closed fist and hit him in the face. Its possible he didnt intend to do so, but it landed.

As someone who has done what I’m about to say many, many times before …

It looks to me like they’re jostling for positioning. Once the ball is clearly headed thru the hoop LeBron looks to see what is still grabbing him and then tries to aggressively swat it away, accidentally hitting the dude in the face. He meant to dislodge his arm, not his nose. He immediately realized that he got more than arm and was apologetic.

I never popped someone in the face accidentally. But I’ve definitely swatted peoples hand and shît like wtf don’t touch me.

and doing the “get off me arm flail” as I call it ppl get hit all the time.

He was frustrated. I think he was trying to be aggressive and forceful. But hit the wrong target.

one game seems fair.

If Stewart got 2 games, LeBron should have gotten 2 or 3. In what reality are harsh words worse than a busted open face?

Also, dude kept saying LeBron punched him with a closed fist. 3:35 shows that weren't the case. As anyone that's ever thrown punches knows, your fists had better be tightly clenched if you don't want broken hands.
As someone with a forever broken fifth metacarpal, I can confirm.

His fist wasnt tightly clinched but it was mostly closed. Deliberate back hand however.

...semantics really, it certainly wasn't an open handed slap nor a tightly clinched boxers fist punch. But it was closed nonetheless and he was clearly trying to hit the guy. :dunno: so?

You are officially out of your fucking mind. That dude handled that shit wrong. He knocked 2 of his assistant coaches to the ground and tried to run-through the back hall to get to the Lakers..... fucker should have got 10 games! Understand being heated, but god damn. That dude put 25 people in harms way, LeBron 1.

Of course I am; maybe so; that is hyperbole.

Questions?

OK, I'm old. Please refresh my memory: the pick that became Stewart was originally ours - was that part of the RoCo deal?

You don't need any refreshing. That was our pick that Detroit got Stewart with. We traded Ariza and 2 first rounders for RoCo then Houston took one of those picks (Stewart) and Ariza and turned them into Christian Wood... retaining our 2021 pick.

Thanks. I was hoping I was wrong.
If I needed a reason why pot should be legal, I would point to this trade! :banghead:

Grizzlies are a bad matchup against the Jazz. They can really beat the Jazz

The reason Stewart got more games is because of what happened after LeBron hit him in the face. LeBron initially appeared to try and apologize, then stood his ground when Stewart got aggressive. LeBron was completely out of the picture after that, and Stewart tried to go at him (or Westbrook?) multiple times, including through the tunnel. Do I think it was intentional? I’ll just say LeBron ALWAYS knows what he’s doing…

Yes, we traded that pick and this year's pick (Lottery protected) for Roco

Exactly. LeBron isn't clumsy. And you guys can all try it yourself. Look away from a pillow or a chair and then punch it. YOU CAN LAND IT WITHOUT LOOKING. Need we forget World Peace? How many games did he get? SEVEN.

I'm not sure James Harden has recovered from that. There had to have been a brain injury. MWP is strong and elbows are sharp.

I don't like LeBron, but if anything, it was Stewart's fault from the begining to the end.

Giddey is getting more and more comfortable, a triple double is surely just around the corner.

So before this he wasn’t one of the best players in the game and he went on to have multiple MVP level seasons because of said head blow? He should THANK Artest then!

Lebron James Slammed After Ejection For Cheap Shot Punch On Isaiah Stewart.

This is a great breakdown of the video.

Yes, that confirmed what i saw earlier. Also a different angle shows for sure that LeBron is definitely looking at Stewart's face when he punches him.
