Like i said he’s a bad defender. We compounded the situation by having more bad defense in front of him.
My point is you don’t compound 0. 0 is 0 no matter how you look at it.
Tony Allen could be in front of him and it wouldn’t make a difference in what happened.

Tony Allen and Marcus smart guarding Denver backcourt isn’t stopping them from throwing the ball into Jokic and absolutely cooking Kanter, again.

You’re giving Kanter a cop out. “Only if we had better defense in front of him…”

No. He could be surrounded by all NBA defensive players and he would still get his ass benched. He’s terrible.

It’s not like he got benched cuz our guards kept getting beat and he was slow rotating over. He was straight up getting dog walked one on one by pretty much every player he matched up against.

Except he just proved with numbers that with better defenders around him he was not nearly as bad and he even played well against Jokic with a bad shoulder he could barely lift above his head?

That’s a lot of words son……… is his replacement better?

How does that make any logical sense. The number of direct drives to the basket with Tony Allen vs Cj/dame drops. The number of times CJ and Dame lose their man so Kanter steps over to help lowers. The amount of times Kanter would have to help Tony Allen vs our guards would drop. Everything is compounded by having shitty defense around the perimeter. Fact. It doesn’t mean Kanter is good at defense. But we did absolutely zilch to help or cover that up. No good defense has bad ball pressure. It doesn’t exist. So we had that, plus Kanter. Kanter went from a really bad defender to totally useless.

does it seem pretty obvious that Olshey is holding a competition among veterans for the 14th roster spot?

Smith, Chriss, and Patterson all on training camp deals. I'd bet Portland would sign Hartenstein and Ennis to the same deals if they were willing, although at some point, that's too many players to take a look at

I think Pau is playing in Spain. I wonder if they want to finish their careers together over there.

could be. Pau is playing for FC Barcelona. I think the Gasol family is from around Barcelona. Tough life living in Spain in a city on the Mediterranean. I'd hate it because I hate cities. But if you like the metro life and lots of sunny days, Barcelona looks to be optimal

Why in the world does Memphis do that deal? For a second? Is Gasol waiving his salary? Doesn’t make since why these teams keep helping the lakers cut costs.

Just not a fan of him as a human. I truly hope he doesn't make the team...

...tell us more! Is there some bad press and stories about PP circulating that we are unaware of? I want all the dirt. :dunno:

I’d guess PP has the advantage since Chauncey knows him well from LA.

Makes sense, I didn't see how Gasol, Dwight, DeAndre and sometimes AD sliding to center could work out minute wise.
It would’ve worked fine. Some would play, some wouldn’t. Every team has 13 players. They don’t all play.

I can’t trade CJ for Simmons on 2K22. Looking at a CJ/CJ2 for Isaac/Ross deal.

Ingram for CJ works. Could we do that in the real world?
