No chance. Who does the Knicks have that the Pacers would want? Tim Thomas, Sweetney, Ariza, Kurt Thomas? There's nobody on that team that the Pacers would trade Artest for.

We can't get him without giving up the untouchables like Sweetney or Ariza. Kurt Thomas could be in it but that is far too little for what the Pacers would wan't. A headache but will be a good fit in NY, especially with our lack of defense sometimes.

That trade still doesnt benefit Indy, lets leave Defense out cause Ron Artest is the best perimeter defender in the league and Wally doesnt play D, at all. So lets focus on the Offensive end where Wally is halfway decent. But even on that side of the basketball he doesnt hold a candle to Artest. Artest is a verstile scorer, who can score from the perimeter, put the ball on the floor, & post up better than alot of power forwards. So even at his lowest market stock, the Pacers can get more then a spot up shooter, who tries often to do to much.

And if Iam the Knicks as good as Artest is, I dont know if I would give up Kurt Thomas without getting a big body in return cause Vin Baker & Mohammad arent bring much to the Knicks frontline. So right now the Knicks are living off of Kurt Thomas and Mike Sweetney. Plus Artest being back in NY, could open up opportunities for a guy like Artest to get into alot of off-the-court trouble. So I would really have to think before I made that if I was Zeke.
