Blackburn vs Montgomery

...One of the guys in the booth just brought up a very good point...why wouldn't Boone start Carpenter against a RHer instead of Donaldson, who has struggled all year vs RHers?

Great job, Hicks...you feebly try to bunt but it goes foul, then stand there as a called strike 3 goes wizzing by...take a bow.

Runners on 2nd and 3rd, 2 out, Gallo coming to the plate...cross your fingers.

...lol, Gallo stands there as a called strike 3 goes by...(whodathunkit?)

Yanx have already fanned 5 times in the first 2 innings against Blackburn who averages only 5.6 Ks per 9 innings...(again, whodathunkit?)

Honestly, can some member of the press PLEASE ask BaBoone and Trashman why the fuck Gallo is still up here on this team when Andujar AND Florial are rotting away in the minors. We are completely botching this because tweedle dum and tweedle dumber keep believing that Gallo is a worthwhile player. He’s not even worth his salt in the OF. I’d rather see Florial struggle at the plate knowing he’s a young guy that’s learning over Gallo. No one is going to take Gallo in a trade unless we put a ton of prospects with him. Just DFA him, see if anyone takes him and if not, who cares. He’s in the minors and not up here ruining this teams chances.

If I was the A's coach I'd replace Bethancourt with a pinch runner and bench his lazy ass.

Way to go, boys...y'all keep trying to hit that elusive 5 run HR with no one on base.

Wake up Yankee management. Waiting for Hicks & Gallo to contribute every 40th at bat is a f**king joke.
Yankees must lead majors in hitting solo HRs.

Runners on 1st and 2nd, 1 out, and Trevino swings at ball 3 and ball 4...and Gonzales first pitch hacking and pops up...this is against a pitch who was struggling badly with his control.

bottom half of the order has become a black hole

Gallo hits a line drive for an out against the shifted infield and Kay says "That's gotta be frustrating for Gallo".

Ummm, no Michael, what's really frustrating is that he still stubbornly refuses to go the other way when there's no one on the left side of the infield...hell, even a bunt is good for a guaranteed single.

Yanx get lucky...instead of an inning ending DP, they call catcher's interference...runners on 1st and 2nd, 1 out.

Holy shit, yet another catcher's interference call...this time with the bases loaded...5-4, bad guys...still only one out.

I was almost going to say I'd rather see Stanton hit there.

Trevino with the big double makes it 8-5.

Hicks flails and fails once again...luckily, we have Trevino...8-5, good guys.

That big homer did nothing to help him. He has continued to be terrible.

He continues to swing as hard as he can on EVERY swing...he was never a great hitter but like many others, the RF seats at YS beckoned him and ruined him.
God Gallo is useless.

Like I said earlier, that comment by Kay kinda ticked me off...Gallo should be "frustrated", because he brings it on himself.

He's hitting. 169. It's cruel at this point.

If the Yanx can hang on, it will put them back to a 12 game lead...Red Sox got pimp slapped by the Jays.
