And I've seen a TON of people bitching about Jeter making it... I mean, he isn't the most worthy stats wise, but some of the comments made were insane... like he should have never been in any ASG...

Fuck them, even Pleasac and Ripken was making whoopee over Jeter being in there. As far as I'm concerned Jeter is Mr. Baseball and has played well enough to be there.

Billy Ripken, on MLB, just caught a bit of it before I had to leave. Calming down a bit I'll say that as much respect as Jeter has shown the game he's earned the respect to be placed in the game.

oh, I thought you meant Cal... sorry

...yeah, Cal Ripken's final AS Game was a symbolic gesture too...I remember Torre telling ARod to physically push Cal from 3B to SS.

...and yeah, Sale should definitely be on the squad...and if Tanaka pitches it probably won't be much because I think he's scheduled to pitch the Yanx last game before the break.

Brian Kenney was hosting that All Star Analysis, not one of my favorites, neither is Pleasac, Billy Rip is a bit of a cracktown homer, but before I left they were emphatic about Jeters' selection. MLB is getting as bad as ESPN smooching up to "Big Sloppi"

That was the plan before they made the trade which, if I'm not mistaken, shifts everyone back one start... and that would mean he could start, right?

...could be... I don't know if Greene would get the start on the 12th vs Tillman or not...this is all I could find;

Wondering your thoughts... who should be in, who shouldn't be in?

I agree with the article below that Chris Sale should definitely be in... I think the perfect "roster" spot for him would be the one Lester currently has...

And while his stats are definitely not worthy this year, I'm surprised Verlander isn't in this year

I am also surprise Sale is not in there, but the ballots for the "Last Man" per roster is up to the people... I voted for Sale.

Believe it or not, the Tiger Fans, at least those Michigan Season Ticket Holders, a few whom I know, believe it or not, think Porcello got short changed. I like Porcello, yet- Sale has had a far superior year, no doubt, what isn't Sale 11-1, with a ridiculously low Opponent's B'Avg, ERA, WHIP....seems he should of been a Starter IMO too...!

I've heard, and seen to much Non-Yanx Fans bad mouthing Our Captain starting, and those peeps are utterly full of shit. The Nation has spoken & realizes Jeter's Farewell year is comparable to Cal Ripken's, just deserving, his career speaks for his Fans Votes, regardless of the year he's having, either way...Jeter SHOULD be the Starting SS, a no brainer IMHO.

Jeff Pasan wrote on July 6th...
Clayton Kershaw: 87.1 IP, 13 starts, 10-2, 192 ERA+, NL All-Star. Chris Sale: 87.1 IP, 13 starts, 8-1, 188 ERA+, not an AL All-Star.

I don't get it...

I mean Kershaw has so far had a BARELY better year than Sale...

I too voted for Sale...

I agree regarding Jeter...
