Assange: Choosing between Clinton and Trump like cholera or gonorrhoea

I've been re-reading The Prince and Discourses on Livy by Machiavelli recently and I think it's safe to say Clinton possesses more of the "princely virtues" than Trump -- mainly in that Clinton and Trump are both likely bad to their very cores, but at least Clinton seems to possess a mastery of the game of politics. So no, she probably has no redeeming qualities as a human being, but as a political actor capable of managing the most powerful nation on earth at this given point in time, I think I'd trust her to do less harm.

But fuck it! I live in a blue state where my vote literally doesn't matter. I have the luxury of voting my conscience and I get to vote for Gary Johnson.

I don't see any way Trump wins Nevada. I can vote for anyone and I won't feel like any of it is my fault. I guess Johnson is my guy too just because he called Trump a pussy.

The Democratic Party plank has been written to appeal to liberals, so if that's the way your bread is buttered, I can see why you'd find much to like with her. But, to my way of thinking, it's pretty much like going to a timeshare sale and getting blown away by the promise of sweet vacations at 5 star resorts. It's only later that you come to realize that the place is run by crooks.

The country should vote for Clinton to avoid Trump. He is a cornball. I'll bet his kids and Mike Pence had plastic surgery. Its all image and no more. Your right, the deal we will get with her is not going to be as sweet as we would hope, but it's far less bitter than what Trump is dishing up. It's probably more like you sign up for the time share at some lavish seaside house, and come to find your part of the timeshare only includes the bathroom.

I think of Trump like having gangrene in the foot. Clinton is like amputation. No one likes amputation - but if you have to choose between amputation and gangrene in the foot...

Unfortunately, all other options are ancient herbal remedies administered by hippie crones with dream catchers or tin foil'ed wizards. They can be fun to experience I imagine, but I would not want to live with a gangrene in the foot because I chose to indulge in this fantasy.

Wikileaks released a tranche of emails belonging to Hillary Clinton campaign chair John Podesta on Friday that seem to lend credence to the argument Bernie Sanders made months ago.

As Donald Trump dealt with the fallout from his disgusting comments about women in a 2005 tape, Hillary Clinton had her own unwelcomed October surprise.

On Friday, WikiLeaks announced that it had obtained nearly 50,000 emails from the personal inbox of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, and leaked more than two thousand of them. The Clinton campaign would not confirm the authenticity of the emails, but a series of Podesta tweets seemed to indicate that his email was compromised.

The statements by Clinton, which were gleaned from documents that have yet to be authenticated by The Daily Beast, were made in private settings to big banks and Wall Street firms. The speeches appear to paint her in the worst possible light: two-faced, out of touch, secretive and subservient to Wall Street. And in the most explicit way possible, validate Bernie Sanders’ criticisms of her during the Democratic primary.
