That seems puzzling, as far as I know the Grotto is church property. Perhaps the management was trying to reach a larger audience?

Probably because it was a school related event

not sure.
Its the same with many of the malls, I guess?
Id love it if malls were used to promote different religious customs and traditions.
Im always for being more open versus shutting the doors on things.

Not even allowed in malls
What @barfo is saying is when a liberal does something like this the liberal people on here accept yeah it was a left wing nutjob. But, when its a right wing nut who is a fanboy of Trumps, the highly conservative on here won't admit it and say it is so. Instead they use the its both sides excuse.
I think thats a bunch of BS though. No matter who does what, ive been saying both sides forever.
Yeah, maybe the extremes on each side ONLY blame the other or both, but to lump all republicans together ( which many posters do here regularly) Is just as bad as me saying all dems.
So moving forward then, anytime i'm discussing Antifa, im just going to refer to them as Dems. See? ( I wont actually do this, but it cements my point)
There needs to be more segregation of the levels of each parties and not just be all inclusive.
Im also not sure, but willing to bet that If I were to go to the ballpark shooting thread, I doubt there is anyone saying, yeah, this is a democratic fuck up. I'm willing to bet there are excuses galore and people saying both sides as well.
It isn't just one side blaming the other, its both sides.
You're denouncing the right because the violent nutjobs are drawn to conservative politics. They don't want ANY change.Yeah it happens on both sides. I am not saying it doesn't. I am saying when its a crazed dude on the left I am willing to say yeah it was a crazy left guy and I denounce him. When its the other way around conservatives won't say that.
Also Antifa doesn't follow anyone, yes they are as far left as can be, but they follow no one. They are anarchists. They want only chaos. On the right side these crazed lunatics are following Trump. I denounce both extremes.

Just saying, my daughter's choir (Parkrose--a public high school) sings religious music all the time. At concerts on school property, at the Grotto, during Christmas season, outside of Christmas season, in state-organized competitions. There is no prohibition on public school choirs singing Christian music. Claims to the contrary are ill-informed.
Yes but we know they replaced the word Jesus with Obama.

Me? nobody on ignore. I listen to everyone even if I don't agree with them. IF you don't, you know know when you might learn something new.
Id be curious to see how many dems on here have people on ignore vs how many republicans have people on ignore?
I think it might be a decent model as to who is more accepting of the others opinions and ideals.
Anyone brave enough to give up their numbers? if any?

I got nobody on ignore, but there are people I just skip their posts on certain subjects because frankly - I do not believe they are interested in discussion, just in spewing nonsense.

Just because I belong to a party because I believe in limited government, doesn't mean i'm a racist ass like some on here like to portray republicans.
At the Grotto you can sing all the Christian Christmas songs you want. That's allowed by the Constitution per the Supreme Court. Just tell me when so I can be there to hear them.Even at the Grotto my Granddaughters HS choir couldn't sing Christian XMAS music.
They could sing Jingle belles and not Oh Holy Night or Away in a manger.
I know you weren't intending an insult. I saw it as an opportunity to clear that up for others who might not know.I wasn't intending disrespect. Although I am a grammar Nazi, sometimes I myself fail on capitalization. If you look back through my posts in the thread, you'll see I used a capital C at least sometimes.

lol...its a wonderful place to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus. At the Grotto you can sing all the Christian Christmas songs you want. That's allowed by the Constitution per the Supreme Court. Just tell me when so I can be there to hear them.
My wife and I used to go there often. My wife always took a religious candle and we would say a prayer for my mother-in-law who was Catholic. I use to go there with my parents when I was a toddler back when Oregon was a territory and we had no electricity. At least according to my niece.
Correct.
However, you should probably revisit whether your party actually agrees with you about limited government. Note this is happening while your party is in full control of the government. Spending is up, revenues are down, another year older and deeper in debt.

I tried ignoring someone once, several years ago. I ended up just manually opening every post he made anyway - guess I'm not very good at ignoring things.

Oh I agree with that. This administration and congress has spent way to much.Correct.

My wife and I are sort of Catholics. We are Episcopalians. Episcopalians (Anglicans) uphold and proclaim the Catholic and Apostolic faith, based on the same creeds and scripture, and interpreted in the light of Christian tradition, scholarship, and reason.lol...its a wonderful place to celebrate to birth of Christ!
I guess schools are not allowing their Choirs to sing their anymore because of it being a religious celebration.
