A recording has recently been released from what is said to be from an Atlanta area school superintendent - Geye Hamby. In it, he repeatedly and casually refers to African Americans as niggers and even casually speaks about wanting to shoot some niggers.

This man leads an entire county school system with tens of thousands of Black students just 30 minutes from Atlanta. The students in the county are 46% students of color.

It's not just that this is disturbing because he said these words, but we have to wonder how much his overt bigotry fueled every single decision he's made across the years.
