I posted in the other trade deadline thread but I will say it again. Derrick Favors. It would take a LOT but he fits what we need like a glove.

Still sounds better than anyone we have at PF!
What's the word on Chris Boucher? I can't remember if we have any 2nds in this draft, but if we do how about using one on this guy? Physique reminds me of Gobert. Skimming the report on him, his defense also sounds Gobert-esque, but with ability to stretch the floor on offense. I'm already sold on him being better than any of our PFs!!!
Of all Oregon Ducks, Jordan Bell is the one I want us to target. He's more physically ready for the NBA than Boucher and is just as dominating down low protecting the paint. Factor in his elite athleticism for his size and improving jumper, I think he'll be a steal for any NBA team that picks him up.
He's an unrestricted free agent this summer, and UTA is looking down the barrel at a massive payday.I posted in the other trade deadline thread but I will say it again. Derrick Favors. It would take a LOT but he fits what we need like a glove.
Not this year. Next summer. He's an unrestricted free agent this summer, and UTA is looking down the barrel at a massive payday.
Doubt it takes much to get him.
Not sure I want him either. Nurkic destroyed him.
He is better than anyone at SF we have too (not that I saying play him there). Derrick Favors is 25. Definitely not age catching up to him. Injuries? Never heard of one for him until this last off-season. So injury yes. Injuries no.Favors has one year, but isn't a star by any stretch of the imagination. He's worse than Thaddeus Young this year. Injuries + age are taking a big toll. He's still better than nay PF on the Blazer roster, but don't give up much if he's a target.

If Portland's draft pick ends up around #10, I'd be okay with trading two or even all three picks to get Favors, if he's actually available. A young-prime power forward of his ability would be a perfect addition to the long-term core.
If Portland does really well in the lottery, though, and their pick is substantially higher, I don't know that I'd want to include it.
Agreed. They may want to wait until after the season to trade him anyways which could work out better for us. The thing is these options to get players who are near-allstar level are few and far between. Of course there is risk involved otherwise there would be no chance to get them at all. If we don't move up I could give up our pick and CLE pick. If we move up though then that is too much. Of course you also make sure he can pass a physical or rescind the deal but my overall bigger point is at some point you have to take a gamble if you are small-market team.If Portland's draft pick ends up around #10, I'd be okay with trading two or even all three picks to get Favors, if he's actually available. Lopez is available for a first and a second...
at 22 mil? we just got Nurk, I don't think Neil is headed that wayDamn, Lopez would be an awesome get. We have a nice trade history with NJ too. Get it done.

Turner still exists. I doubt they'd want him, but Turner/Ezeli is more than enough to match salaries. We cannot get Lopez because we cannot send Crabbe there and there is no other way to match salaries unless we send three players. Leonard, Aminu, Ezeli and a pick would work though. I would do that for this package. He offer something completely different than Nurkic.
Leonard + Ezeli + Davis and Memphis first. This would effectively mean that we got Brook Lopez and Nurkic for Mason Plumlee, as I don't consider the other three players as 'trade assets' .
not that I want Brolo but why not throw in Turner and Meyers and a pick? You don't have to include Davis in trade, and I doubt the Nets want him anyway. Ezili and Meyers is almost a legal trade, but throw in a guy like Quaterman and it's legit. I have a feeling getting the Nets to take on Meyers would probably be next impossible. If they show interest, you got to do the deal to get out from having to put Meyers on the floor.

Hearing more and more teams say today they believe Detroit will NOT discourage trade inquiries for center Andre Drummond this
Nah - we need a big PG who plays defense to play alongside our small, non-defending shooting guard.Apparently star point guard Damian Lillard is available. Any chance we would be interested?
Harkless + Aminu + Davis = 1 big contractThat's kind of the problem with trying to get someone with a big contract--Portland would need the other team to take some of their larger contracts (or one huge one) and the only large contracts Portland has that aren't albatrosses are Lillard and McCollum.
