They should have thrown the tooth fairy in there.

And if the sign said Jesus of Nazareth instead of Jesus Christ, your criticism would look less stupid. Unless you believe Christ to be his last name. You need to try harder next time.
There was a man named Jesus. He called himself the son of God and claimed to be the son of God. Whether he was or not is up for debate, but there was a man who believed he literally was God's son. As far as I can tell, there has never been a fat man with a beard who flies reindeer on Xmas Eve, after spending all year at the North Pole working with elves, making a list, and checking it twice.
So, your criticism of my criticism is stupid. Try harder next time.
Saint Nicholas of Myra is the primary inspiration for the Christian figure of Santa Claus. He was a 4th-century Greek Christian bishop of Myra (now Demre) in Lycia, a province of the Byzantine Anatolia, now in Turkey. Nicholas was famous for his generous gifts to the poor, in particular presenting the three impoverished daughters of a pious Christian with dowries so that they would not have to become prostitutes.
So I would say the atheist's sign is actually fairly accurate, in that we have two individuals who were real people, whose stories and lives have since been embelished and fabricated to fit a purpose. So, again, try harder next time.
I was under the impression that there was some kind of historical basis for Santa as well. A toy maker who would put small toys and trinkets in children's shoes on the evening before Christmas. I might be wrong. I never really looked into it.

"Santa Claus and God, one in the same", would have made the atheists look less stupid. They need to try harder next time.
couldnt find the smiley but...
this thread is worthless without pics.

I don't think we know what he believed, only what other people claim he believed. I don't think you can ever know what someone believes (unless that someone is you).

Saying "one and the same" instead of "one in the same" would have made them look less stupid also.

There was never a man who walk on water, fed masses with a single loaf of bread, rose from the dead, born to a virgin...
Santa and his reindeer and elves are far more likely to have flown around the world delivering presents.

Well, according to the only historical record at the time, he did claim these things, and people allegedly followed him.
I don't get where you're going with this. If you're trying to mock my "belief", then you're on the wrong track.
