Luckily white women are never just plain old nutty. That proves she must be a regular old racist.
Oh wait...
Oh wait...

In these types of situations, I'd err on the side of caution.
Don't see anything wrong with it. I mean if I was taking around two black kids or white kids around and acted defensive, it would look really suspect as well.
Don't they have that campaign "if you see something suspicious, say something".
She saw nothing. A guy with kids...happy laughing kids...she's nosy and nutty if not racist. If the kids were crying, in duress, being shoved into the car or something. No, happy kids having some subway with their babysitter. People need to not make assumptions. They could have been his adopted kids. Etc. Etc.
I was at the gym earlier. There's a see something say something sign in the locker room.Other people said he looked suspicious. Child abduction is real. Its better to report suspicious people, especially if they are defensive.
It seems she was being polite and a good citizen.

Oh, stop it. Some guy eating Subway with some kids (they have Subways in Walmarts? Weird.)? That sure seems suspicious. And then he got gasoline?!? Oh my god!!! What's next? Is he going to drive them to soccer practice?!?
I see people with kids of different race all the time. Never ever occurred to me to cross-examine them. If I bent down and asked the kid,"Do you know this person?" I'd expect trouble.
This seems to be because he is a black man. If he were a white man, or an even an Asian man, with two black kids I'm betting the farm no one says shit. Mr Lewis was forced to convince the officer he was an okay dude. To me that is degrading and unacceptable.
The only suspicious person in the story was the stalker lady.
Can she be 100% and not be a racist nut job? I had a neighbor come talk to my wife concerned that we had our 8y/o and 7y/o riding bikes unsupervised down the cul-de-sac in front of our house, which is in a dead-end development. At least she came to talk to us...many people are going straight to 911 or CPS. That makes them people making bad decisions in their nosy life, and while there's a non-zero chance that she hates black people, I think it's non-zero that she's just a tattler and not the brightest upstairs.I’m hoping everyone on this board sees this woman as 100% wrong and that she’s a racist nut job. I hope.

If I see any guy throw a paper towel on the floor or something similar I think I'll rat him out. Hope the first one I see is white.
I also hope people don't notice me looking at them in the men's locker room.

Snitches get stitches.Think about this for a sec... That's a sign created by a tenet created by the police.
Police see their partners do crooked shit everyday and don't say anything...
So, this is wrong.
But I get El Prez's point.
Here is the key and where both parties could have made a better decision.
First, the lady is just assuming the racial differences are questionable without any regard to behavior or posture. It is one thing to start to question if they are sullen looking and unhappy and if he seems to want to have a hand on them so as they wont run, type of thing. But per the article, they were laughing and joking and having fun. Kids in danger don't do that and she should have dismissed it right then and there.
So, she is wrong to even confront. However once confronted, the babysitter could have disolved the situation within seconds. Yes. I cant imagine how deep it sits when someone becomes a victim of this type of racial bias, or any racial bias for that matter. It wont go away though. As sad as it is, it wont go away without turning the other cheek. I'm not saying ignore, but treating those filled with racial hatred, with pure kindness. This is tough I know. Im a victim of feeling hatred towards those who exert bigotry like this. My best friend is a minority and so I have witnessed it up close. I watched a cop target him for no reason and set him up.
With that said, the babysitters reaction fueled the fire. We need to figure out how to put the fire out, not add to it.
Once he showed that standoffishness he became suspect.

This is why this shits gonna continue to happen...
Why did it look suspicious?
Does my picture above look suspicious?
Watch the video above @Chris Craig.
Unfortunately I hear stories about men being questioned in general. Our society doesn't trust men, and that distrust goes into overdrive when kids are involved.
This is simply not true.
They staged that "What would you do" abduction for hours people did nothing.
They did nothing for HOURS...
There are different types of racists. There is the kind that hate blacks, ,and then there is the kind that simply assume Blacks or any race behave in some particular way, especially a negative way. She may hate Blacks, but she almost certainly sees Blacks as not on equal footing to whites. Even so, there is a more than zero chance I am wrong, he could have been holding a machete or wearing a tee-shirt that says child rapist. But those are just very very very unlikely. The bar t have an opinion thinking that they woman is racist isn't a zero percent chance, its just whats highly likely. making excuses or not condemning such flagrant racial profiling is BS.Can she be 100% and not be a racist nut job? I have this tie
With as many "minority" nannies as are out there--and are portrayed on TV and in movies--I don't understand why even a clueless redneck would bat an eye at white children with a non-white adult.
However, while it's clear that she wouldn't have questioned a white man, I also wonder, would she have been suspicious if the children were with a black woman? Is the issue actually BWBAM?
Good question. I don't know.Black kids with a white guy?
