All they needed was to go 2-9 instead of 0-9 from three in the 4th quarter. Serbia was the Blazers in the 2000 WCF. And just like the Blazers, everyone (outside of Serbia) will erase all but the last half of the fourth quarter from their collective memories.

I'd love to see a comparison of the salaries of the US team vs. the Serbian team.

I enjoyed Termine last summer as he was one of the few who supported Joe when others said he should give Dame away to Miami.
He can't stand Heat fans.

And I agree that Kerr was wrong not playing Tatum. I don't like his 3 guard lineup. I would start Tatum over Booker.
But he does tend to embellish. Kerr will not return as coach and even if he does, someone needs to sit. They need the depth in case of injuries.

It's 2:02 am Pacific Time. The whole Sports2 board is leaving the bars right now, which are closing just at the wrong time. Drive fast, you drunkards! It's game time!
 
Germany seems to miss every shot, long or layup. Somehow they're only 8 down at the half. Serbia must have missed plenty too, but Serbia seems to make moves before their shots. Germany's simple shots suck. Serbia has more effort. This game is pretty routine. A yawner, or is it the time of night.
 
In the 3rd quarter, Germany went down 19. Bonga, no. 0, the black German with blond hair, is reliable at catch and shoot. Bonga kept them in the game with about 3 long shots. Then Mo Wagner started yelling and acting psycho on the bench, so he and his brother started wheeling to the hoop for baskets. At the end of the quarter, Germany is down 9, 1 worse than halftime, but it feels like a miracle for Germany after being down 19.
 
Serbia much more active than Germany. Bonga was maybe Germany's best defender. He looks 55 years old, so maybe we can sign him like Duop Reath. Jokic had a triple double, rare in the Olympics. Serbia won by 10.

Sounds like USA will start the same lineup they closed the Serbia game with.

Vintage Steph to close out the game. They would have lost without him.

Major props to LBJ, he had a great Olympics. Having said he almost threw the game away with all those turnovers.
I know he is used to running the offense, but it was almost a horrific mistake by Kerr during the stretch when France came back.
 
Great (and typical) effort by Curry to close out the game and secure the gold medal. You have to wonder how a rematch with France would look in four years, with Wembanyama reaching his peak and guys like Curry, James, and Durant all retired.
