I had my doubts because I know how you are based on whats happened before in these battles. My doubts became reality, thats just the way it is, its not a big deal.

There's a difference between constructive criticsm, and calling you a stupid judge. You can critic the battlers on this board can't you? Well I just doing the same with you, except your a judge. Don't get mad.
 
Good battle MrJ, I think that last verse of yours pretty much won it. It was pretty sick, but I'm happy that I improved.

I gotta side with AF on this. he clearly didn't get riled up at all, he was just being realistic. the judges are all good.
 
I'm not going to be a distraction, lets finish this tournament up, and there are a lot of good matchups that are coming up. I also think for the finals that the popular vote should be counted regularly instead of under tiebreaker circumstances. It is the finals after all, the people of the Hip Hop forum should have a say on who wins.
 
Sorry, I've been so busy. Good to see the judgings almost done. So what do we do about the Karma/Aznxballer battle? Aznx is saying that he probably won't be able to get a verse in and, frankly, I'm out of ideas.

I'm gonna drop a verse right now actually but it probably won't be any good at all....I don't know what's happening with Aznx but I'm dropping mine.
 
Forget it. It's obvious AXB is busy. The thread's been up for a week and the whole tourney has suffered because of that one battle. We have to move on.
 
He said he was going somewhere, ill go look for where he said he was going.

So Karma gets another bye and the judges should finish up the voting and let's move on.
 
Either that or let CPaulDwade take his place in like a 1 verse each battle.

Well, he's in the thread now. Hopefully he responds, and maybe we should just have the judges vote after 1 verse each? We really need to speed this thing up.
 
I'm running out of ideas on how to deal with all these unexplained absences. The easy way is to give Karma another bye. I don't like it though. My idea is to have the 3 losers of the 2nd round (AF, J_Ray, phunDamentalz) submit a single verse that's 20 lines in a seperate thread. The verse should try to convince everyone why they deserve a 2nd chance and just try to do the best job of showing their superiority. The judges will vote on who's is the best and the winner goes faces Karma. That battle will be like 2 verses, because Karma seems busy and we've wasted so much time.

The thing I need is confirmation from those 3 people as well as Karma. You've seemed busy Karma, so if you feel like you can't hold your spot don't be afraid to step down. What does everyone think?

I'm going to be in Manhattan all afternoon, but I'll be back in the evening to read the replies, etc.

It really doesn't matter to me, I just think it's a necessity to get this up and running again.

Btw, what are you doing on my turf? Vacation?

I agree. I didn't expect another absence and I was too busy to deal with it. At this point, I can see us sacrificing a little fairness just to get everything going (we all knew Karma was going to advance anyways... no offense Aznx).

And yea, I'm here until next Friday on vacation.

If it came down to what you proposed I'd be willing to do it.
 
I'm all for it. J_ray, phunDamentalz and Air Fresh all deserve the chance, not to mention deserve the 3rd round even. I think it's a good idea, because giving Karma 2 byes is a little too much.

Also, I find that the 1 verse to convince and 2 verses against Karma is also a good idea. Having a 3 way battle would take too long, and would be too confusing. Also, that way the winner will post 3 verses anyway; the one in the 3way and 2 against Karma. Great Idea Chutney!
 
Can the judges finish up the voting in the Chutney vs. Phun thread? Lets get this thing running back up again. Its been dead for a while.
 
I sent a PM to the judges to finish up the voting. Don't know what to do about the last battle.
