Batum going to nuggets for just picks now????

I'm ashamed of myself for posting in one of the trolls threads!

Batum wont be traded... no need to get your panties all in a bunch.

Some of you phucks need to learn to read before pissing your pants. Article states:

"But the Nuggets could have the means to acquire him if their talks with the New Jersey Nets ever come to fruition, because the Trail Blazers would only consider trading Batum if they were getting back a comparable player plus a likely lottery pick..."

Blazers clear favorite to get Harris if they make Batum available to DEN after months of resisting Batum offers. See @CSheridanESPN for more

Haha. Did you read all the posts that already pointed this out?

And? I don't think it's unreasonable to think that we might trade Batum, but nobody is saying he'd go for only draft picks.

No - I did not. I see how my post would've been ironic if I had - but I read the title then browsed the link and replied. I've already wasted enough bandwidth on this idiotic thread so I'll just cut my losses and move on.

So we can't even get Harris anymore for batum? Wow how the mighty have fallen. Or should I say how bad is cho?

What part of comparable player and a pick did you not understand? To me this means a high potential, high reward, young player. Devin Harris may fit that bill but more likely Portland is after Derrick Favors IMO.

Some of us phucks need to learn to read before pissing our pants, indeed. ;)

Here's my take....

Cho has no trading skills and is being pushed around by better gms! They are basically saying your gonna get whatever we give you.

Are you possibly projecting?

more likely Devin Harris & NJ 1st round pick for Miller and Batum.....

Not sure I like it....

If Batum is so highly regarded around the league and POR wants a Top 5 pick for him to go after a young player, then why not wait until the draft?

Seems like an unecessary risk to take right now...

Denver is really starting to get on my nerves:

With Batum the Nuggets would get a young, talented versatility player who can shoot from the outside, has a lot of athleticism, and most importantly, is a natural defender. Those are exceptionally rare in this league. Alongside Lawson with Favors low, the Nuggets would have a young core to build around.

Batum-Favors is the Nuggets' endgame

I don't get why Denver feels like they are in any position to pretend like they get to call the shots. Melo wants to go to the Knicks. It's doubtful he's gonna re-sign an extension with the Nets. That team is just as horrid as the Nuggets after a trade. Denver should feel fortunate that Melo is voicing his desires to leave before the summer so they can get some decent players + picks. If they think they can snag Favors and Batum from this fiasco, they got another thing coming.

Yup.... I think there's a good chance that Melo rejects playing for the Nets and the Nuggets are left with zero leverage in the negotiations with the Knicks. It's either make the trade or lose him for nothing. They'll end up with Eddy Curry, Anthony Randolph, and Gallinari. It'll be hilarious.

I agree, they are playin with fire IMO.

Canzano's twitter:

NBA source tells me the Nuggets-Nets would like Portland to include Batum and either Przybilla or Miller to help them make the Melo deal.

How many "no's" does Denver's GM have to hear before he gets the hint that Batum isn't available for Harris?

And like we said, as soon as they make Favors available to us, we'll get that shit done.

If the cycle keeps repeating, it's because we're not clearly saying no. We must be making counteroffers which include Batum.

As we should be. There are offers that include Batum that would make sense for the Blazers.

You may be right. I just don't like picks because I think NJ is a playoff team when/if they get Melo. After the top-4 in the East there is a massive drop off. They may be bad now but with Melo I think they'll be the #8 seed and this future pick will only get worse as they build this team around Melo and Lopez.

Favors or no deal, IMO.

Here is what Chris Broussard said the other day on his twitter:

Den would love to engage Portland and send Devin Harris, whom the Blazers like, there for andre Miller and Nic Batum. Port wants 2 keep Nic

Also, tonight on Courtside a writer from SI was interviewed and said the Blazers have no interest to give up Batum for Harris, FWIW.

Yeah, then we'd be stuck with three mid-to-late first round picks (IE New Orleans, New Jersey, and our own).

Well you could always turn those picks into a Lottery Pick, given the right situation.

I still say most in here are over rating Nic. If the Blazers want to play hardball they should ask for Harris, an expiring big and an unprotected pick.
