The Erie BayHawks have claimed NBA veteran Solomon Jones off waivers this afternoon.
Jones (6-10, 235, South Florida) was drafted in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2006 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. After three seasons with the Hawks, Jones spent time with the Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, New Orleans Hornets, New York Knicks and most recently, the Orlando Magic. He holds career NBA averages of 3.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.

The nine-year NBA veteran also played one season in China, where he averaged 15.8 points and 10.4 rebounds for the Liaoning Flying Leopards during the 2012-13 season.

He is expected to join the BayHawks this week and make his home debut next Wednesday when Erie hosts the Texas Legends at 7:00 pm.
