Much ado about nothing.
That's funny, although I thought he showed some promise, I mostly thought he showed he had a lot of game to work on and a long way to go to get there. Confidence is one thing; delusion another. A true NBA PG he's not (yet). I guess it's normal for adolescents to think they are on top of the world and know more than their elders. If he keeps working he'll get his chance soon enough, but maybe not soon enough for Mr. B-Rex."When I got in the game last season, I know I showed I could play," he said. "So it's about getting to the right place where I can play consistently or maybe play with the Blazers consistently. That's what I'm looking forward to, just getting a chance somewhere."

I don't think it's surprising at all that he feels that way, it's just a sign of a little immaturity to be speaking publicly to the media about it. He's talking as if the writing is on the wall that he's not going to be in Portland...
Take it how you wish.![]()

Maybe if he didn't look like crap running a team in summer league we wouldn't have had to go get Miller. But Bayless showed us all he is far from being a solid NBA PG, and we have zero room for him at SG.
I'm fine with him being disappointed, he should want to get minutes and currently he is projected to get none. If he can beat out Blake for backup 1 that would be awesome, but he couldn't beat out Sergio last year. This is a team that with a lucky break could be contending for a title, we don't have the luxury of throwing projects out on the floor and seeing what they can do.
How so? He's a SG.It almost seems like the Bayless trade was a bad idea. He would have played very well in Indiana. We probably could have got more use out of Brandon Rush then we did Bayless.

you mean last year or as we go forward? Portland's 2/3 spots are pretty deep with players who are arguably better then Brandon Rush. The player Portland completely wiffed on in that draft was Anthony Randolph. It almost seems like the Bayless trade was a bad idea. He would have played very well in Indiana. well he did absolutely crush in this years summer league putting up huge numbers across the board so yes, but he also was pretty impressive during his rookie year as well posting a 16.9 PER. Dude was the youngest player in the league last year and showed a world of talent on both ends of the court. He's about the same size as LaMarcus and maybe even more athletic. I'd think that an Oden LA & Randolph Bigs rotation would have been pretty awesome as we move forward. And what exactly has Randolph done? Look good in SL?
...he has amazing work ethic, but I promise you all that he is the most selfish "I" player on the entire roster!!!
