My ballot:

West
Steph Curry he is out rebounding, out scoring and out passing Lillard.
Chris Paul at 20 11 and 5 he was too good for me to overlook but since the injury I have switched to Lillard.
Kevin Durant meet your 2013-2014 NBA MVP
Boogie Cousins he is posting a 27 PER with 23.5 PPG 11.5 RPG on only 32 minutes a night. Beast Mode.
Lamarcus Aldridge with Duncan falling off a bit and LA finally rebounding like a legit PF he has become the best PF in basketball.

East
Lebron James a complete no brainer
Paul George see Lebron
Roy Hibbert meet your 2013-2014 NBA DPOY
Dwayne Wade he always plays hard for some reason in this game and the rest of the East back court is pretty bad
Kyrie Irving it was a close call over John Wall but on the off chance we get to see a Lillard- Irving face off it was worth the vote

I like most of your picks.

But I'd easily put Dwight, Love, Griffin, Dirk, Davis all ahead of Boogie. He has potential but he hasn't translated his skills or production into wins. People rip on Love for not getting his team to the playoffs but leading them right now to a .500 record is far more impressive than what Boogie has done.

I think Blake went from being way overrated to now he's being underated. He is the most athletic PF in the league and with the way he is shooting the ball is a matchup nightmere behind only LeBron or Durant.

You are assuming that Sacramento is trying to win games. I do not believe they are at all therefore since Boogie is posting the best numbers I choose him to represent the West. Especially since there is virtually no way the NBA allows Griffin or Dwight to miss the game and I do not want to see the kid who finally seems like he gets it to get snubbed.

And yet, you are assuming. Imagine that.

He is 5th in the west for frontcourt players. No more selecting centers and forwards, just frontcourt players.

Here's my 12 for the West, with injured players out and replacements listed:
Frontcourt:
Howard
Durant
Griffen
Love
Aldridge
Iguodala
Cousins

Backcourt
Curry
Harden
Parker
Lillard
Dragic

Injured players that most likely will be named but replaced: Bryant, Paul, Westbrook

There is no way the coaches select Westbrook. He will have missed way too many games by the time of the vote to bump Lillard or Parker at his expense, which is what his selection would mean.

Paul is a more interesting case since he's consensus top PG in the league. He likely will get way more "honor" votes from the coaches (assuming Curry stays ahead of him in the fan vote) than Westbrook even though he can't play. It would not surprise me either way if he is or isn't named by the coaches.

Huh? The dude is averaging 10/5/4... Nowhere near an all star. Batum deserves it more than Iggy since he is putting up 13/7/6 and not even Batum should really be considered.

Sacramento has new owners and is trying to win games, that's why they took on $20 million of Rudy Gay's contract. Boogie is having his best year but he still doesn't create easy shots for teammates and elevate their play the way Dirk does. He doesn't have the two way impact Davis or Dwight do. He doesn't space the floor or pass the way Love does. There is no way right now he is the 2nd best big man in the west after Aldridge.

I believe Sacramento is trying to win next year. There is no chance Rudy is going to opt out of his monster contract so he will be around next season. Ben McLemore has been beyond terrible yet he still plays 25 minutes a night. He is playing more than Marcus Thorton who was a 20 point a game guy just a couple seasons ago and is only 26. They were also giving Salmons who had not been relevant since 2010 25 minutes a game. While limiting Cousins minutes who has been unstoppable to around 32 a game. Based on those numbers it does not look like the Kings are in any hurry to win this year. I might be wrong but I believe the Kings are tanking while trying to retool for the future.

So when other people make statements its an assumption but when you do its an educated guess. Got it, thanks.

Sorry do you believe that the Kings are doing everything they can to make the playoffs and win every night? I personally do not, which is why I am not holding Boogies record against him.

Yes I think the players and coaches are trying to win. I think tanking is only done by management or owners, players could care less if a star rookie joins the team, they want to be the star themselves. Now the previous ownership didn't care about winning, that's why they traded TRob to get a couple million bucks. The new owners added the terribly expensive Gay contract because they think it'll help them win. I didn't say they were doing a good job of trying to win, but thats what they are trying to do.

Fair enough but I still say vote for Boogie
