They wont fetch frisbees, but they will fetch little toys. And they go crazy over laser pointers.

The cool thing about little dogs is you can take them anywhere, you dont have to buy a ton of food, and you dont have ro spend much time cleaning their shit.

My mini-Aussie Blue healer mix, he's perfect size, only 30lbs but he can hike, fetch like a maniac, and swim in rapid rivers. He's also my toddler sons best friend. :)

Dude, Blue Healers are fucking nuts! Some old neighbors of mine runs the Portland area Blue Healer rescue association. They're both tri-athletes, train year around. They take blue healers with them to train. Those dogs never tire out. It's amazing to see.

Wife and I really like Pembroke Welsh Corgis. But the puppies were $1,000+. She already had a chihuahua from before we dated, and they tend to be clannish, so we went with a 2nd chihuahua. He was only $175 as a puppy.

Yep! They are non stop. So fun to take him to the river in the summer.

Kirby the Welsh Terrier. Unbelievably good with people, especially little kids. Complete and utter asshole with other dogs. A solid 27 lbs. Does not shed. Best dog I've ever had. BG's little bro.......

Kirby is one cute guy. He looks like a cartoon. My dog is the same way, loves people and is uber friendly but wants to kill every other dog he sees.

If I had a dog, I'd train him to attack the balls whenever he heard "slypokerdog."

This is the kind of dog I'd get if I had my choice, he just looks smart. We always get dogs from local shelters and in Vegas you really only have two choices, pit bulls or Chihuahuas. The shelters are full of either.

What do you do with him the rest of the time? Seriously, Healers can run up walls 24hrs a day.

Haha yea. I think the mix calms him down a bit. He has a fenced in yard so he can roam free all day which is key. Other than that he takes orders really well so he'll chill when I tell him to.

You better have a large fenced yard. Those dogs can eat a couch in under 5mins.

There may be dogs as happy as my buddy but it has to be a tie, no dog is happier.

Well, knowing that I wouldn't. I almost bought a Benji looking dog at the mall years ago. This dog was in a kennel and I watched this dog slide the lock to the kennel open and try to get out. He had unlocked it but they had wired it shut. Then he started to untwist the wire with his teeth. It was amazing. He was 750 bucks or I would have taken him home.

I prefer Bill Burr's free dogs.

Yeah, you don't want a pet that's smarter than you are.

And then we have two small dogs... A Jack Russell and a Mini-pin/Pug/maybe Chi mix.... Jack Russell's are fun, high-energy dogs and super smart. The little mut mix is very smart, but can be rather vindictive (good thing she's like 7-8 lbs.)
