Kid has the best change up...thing just hangs in the strike zone and dies before the plate...everybody swung over it...his control is top shelf

A team with 3 first round picks in this draft and their two best players all tourney were two underclassmen. One might be the number one overall pick next year.

The program Pat Casey has built is as good as any baseball program in the country. The Beavs weren’t even in the real PAC-10 when he arrived, when they let em in every school in the conference swore we wouldn’t last and would get crushed. We not only dominated the conference but became a certified national powerhouse. Go Beavs god damnit.

Note to self, don't wear my only Beaver shirt tomorrow. I don't want anyone getting confused thinking I'm a baseball fan.

I agree he is one off the legends of this State and for sure the best in Baseball.
I'm a PPus as I grew up a Beaver Fan and then my kids went to UO. I also played baseball for Taylor Electric of which Harold was a huge Oregon Guy.

Ducks fan....who was cheering for the Beavers every inning of every game. That might be blasphemy to some, but I've been a big fan of their baseball team for years and have played ball with some of the players who have been part of the program.

What a great run!
 
Thing about Casey is he is pretty much the opposite of what Beaver Football coaches are. If you watched him absolutely go ballistic on the umpires in the second game for missing a check swing strike. You might understand what i'm talking about. Casey is absolutely tough as nails. He demands production and he expects his players to perform at a high level all the time on and off the field. Players don't have to like him but they have to respect him.

...I can assure you that all of the players love him, despite how he may come off in the media. I've had the pleasure of meeting him and interacting with him during a few of the off-seasons and it's no wonder his players give it their all for him, he's just a good, genuine dude all the way around!

You're a year off. Last year--best record ever, but fell short. This year, added some dude named Kevin (among others), had a lesser record, but won it all.

The symmetry is uncanny. Next year's title is all but a foregone conclusion.

Yes, but that guy named Kevin didn't come from the team they beat in the semifinals.

The gal I watched the games with used to teach at OSU and is a huge Pat Casey fan. She has nothing but good things to say about him. You don't always hear that kind of praise for a coach coming from someone who is charged with teaching his student athletes. So, I take that as high praise and a good indication that he's a good guy that has the players' bests interests at heart.

In any case, OSU is lucky to have him.
