Hopefully the next time we say hello to a baseball team, it plays in the AL or NL, and not the PCL.

After the final out, manager Terry Kennedy helped dig up home plate to give to Friends of Baseball, an organization that brings the game to the city's youth, for safekeeping. He also took a swipe at the political process.

"It's you the fans - not the politicians - who will get (baseball) back,'' Kennedy told the crowd.

I can make some comments about this one from a comment write.
71 Dates are not going to filled by Soccer and Outdoor concerts , as the Beavers did.
Overall Beavers had 293,000 vs Timbers 155,000 people. Terrible Spring didn't help the beavers this year.
Lets take last year 376,000...when we knew they would be back.
Basically even with this year, 300 thousand people came downtown to watch the Beavers.
150K more than the Timbers....on a good year you could say 200K more.
Even with the 376,000 fans the previous year I remember working Wednesday Friday, Saturday nights when the attendance wouldn't even break 3500 people. How is that cost effective to run the stadium with all the lights, electricity, paying employees', etc. Lets see how much it took to run PGE park per event with a graph? I'm getting tired of all the baseball fans bitching like this, "Why couldn't they keep the beavers where they are, and build a soccer stadium?" Its obvious that the city consul, and the fans failed. You can't blame Merrit directly because he even offered chipping in $25 million for baseball stadium funding. There was no "save our beavers" group, like what the impact that the Timber Army has done.
I'm sorry to see the beavers go, but I'm getting tired of the baseball fans bitching on the last few days that i worked at PGE park.

lol yea, I should have wrote entertaining interview.

entertaining yes. Canzano showed how much of a tool he is, and Adams showed he's a tool.
