That title of Richard Farina’s 1960’s novel is probably as good a description of “Upside” as you’ll find … that or Jason Fleming’s HoopsWorld article on which teams have the most “Upside”… clubs that could rise this year if their players do. Like the Nets, all had disappointing years in 2007-08. Fleming thinks the Nets’ bench and frontcourt “players with minimal NBA experience” will decide just how far up they go.
