and have yet to see the sun.

Fuck this weather.

At least it's exciting when it rains in Cleveland (thunder, lightning, gale force winds, etc), but it's just a perpetual shower here in Oregon 24/7.

Yes, it has even been worse then normal. It rains a lot but we do get a few good days especially this time of year but not this year.

I live here year round (so used to this) and even I am getting irrate with this May weather. May in Oregon is not all beautiful (got to wait til after July 4th to say that about Oregon weather), but this May, especially these last two weeks are unbearable to me . . . . . . . I need warm sunny days soon!

Really weird. We moved back here last May 15th. It only rained once from that date until late summer. Last year appears to have been unusually dry, while this year is appearing to be unusually wet. Go figure.

Between Portland and Seattle, which has gloomier weather?

Seattle's more exposed to the ocean and higher north. much gloomier and about 5-10 degrees colder

But yea I really don't mind the winters here but around this time of year I really start getting ancy for some better weather

I think what it is is that the weather kinda teased us for a couple of weeks with the dry, somewhat warm weather, then went right back to the late-May, early-June shower fest that happens 4 out of every 5 years. They don't assosciate "Rose Festival" with "oh, it's raining, right?" for nothing. As a life-long resident, I am pissed off with the curveball that the weather Gods threw at us, too, but you shrug your shoulders and just think of all of the foliage and beauty that will be in full bloom in July and August.

And if anyone says "drought" this summer, I swear I will punch them in the nose.

Hard to predict that Washington state weather.

Go Sonics. :D

I credit Al Gore.

This is the worst May I can remember. It's been just awful. May is usually a very bearable, mostly enjoyable month. We're getting the royal ass rape this year. June better be epic.

Ya, it sucks, but we don't normally get nice weather til the end of June anyway. Our autumns are amazing though. It's always nice til Halloween. I can't believe a cat from CLEVELAND of all places is complaining about my P-Town!

I'm originally from POR. Was in CLE for just the last four years.

It's never this bad.

Cleveland is worse then P-Town 365 days a year!

When you guys have lived here as long as I have, you won't notice the rain.

Has it been raining?

Keep raining! Maybe it will keep a few less people from moving here or force some transplants to leave!

Portland Summers are beautiful. And I like the rain. or don't mind it.

of course I love the weather in SoCal. Although today its Portland-esque. :(

They are. Generally, Portland weather from May-Sept is perfect.

I like the rain too. Especially when you get intermittent storms blowing through with all the thunder, lightning, etc., But I can't stand the monotony that is a boring 24hr Portland drizzle. You have your wipers set on "intermittent" all the time.

More like July-September. My birthday is in June, and I can remember it raining a lot on my birthday.
