Weird choice.

He's leavin' Gotham City in his fawkin' reah-view.
Jesus Christ! The horrible choice is to re-hash Batman AGAIN. This has to be a joke?
Considering they re-did Spiderman not 5 years after the last Spiderman movie with Toby Maguire, and Hollywood re-did Superman again, no less than 8 years after re-booting Superman the first time, nothing surprises me.
Iron Man reboot starring Channing Tatum scheduled for 2014.
are you fucking serious?
Well, at least the backlash has continued to mount a pretty heavy campaign against this casting --> Fans Petition Warner Bros. to Remove Ben Affleck as Batmanhttp://www.ign.com/articles/2013/08/24/hollywood-weighs-in-on-affleck-as-batman
Hollywood Weighs in on Affleck as Batman
Former Bat-stars Val Kilmer & Adam West Tweet out their thoughts.
In a response to the recent hair-tearing over the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman in the Man of Steel sequel, Hollywood figures have taken to the Internet to show their support of the actor.
"Give Ben a chance!" Tweeted out Batman Forever star Val Kilmer.

Remember Ben, with the cape and cowl comes great responsibility (and lots of heat). Bring deodorant. #batman @BenAffleck

Pop-culture King Joss Whedon Tweeted out that he thinks Affleck will "crush it," while comedian Patton Oswalt wrote a lengthy Facebook message calling for some perspective over the decision.
"A Batman portrayed by someone who's tasted humiliation and a reversal of all personal valences -- kind of like Grant Morrison's "Zen warrior" version of Batman, post-ARKHAM ASYLUM, who was, in the words of Superman, "...the most dangerous man on the planet"?" Wrote Patton. "Think for a second and admit that Ben Affleck is closer to THAT top-shelf iteration of The Dark Knight than pretty much anyone in Hollywood right now."

Affleck'll crush it. He's got the chops, he's got the chin -- just needs the material. Affleck & Cavill toe to toe -- I'm in.

And hey, we think he'll make a pretty great Batman too.
Cranston as Luther is going to be awesome!
Michael Keaton was a better than expected Batman. I think Ben will do fine
