Ben said, sense this is a weak draft that Oladipo might make the most sense for the Blazers.

First, I doubt he will be on the board when the blazers pick, likely go 4-8 range.

Secondly, I don't think he makes sense for the Blazers.

However, if the Blazers did get him I would be fine with that.

Ya he said the Blazers would probably have to trade up to get him.

Oh great now we are trading up and having an even higher cap hold for a first rounder?!

I'd probably start a new thread about this, too.

Deep cleansing breaths........ not gonna score any points around here putting the name Ben Golliver in any post or thread title! #guydoesn'tknowshit

Trading the pick along with Hickson and or Leonard makes the most sense

Ben: The Blazers are targeting one of the unanimous top picks in this years draft.
Everyone else in the free industrialized world: Thanks Captain Obvious, how the hell did you get a job doing what you do?

Those damn first rounders! I'd rather have cap space than Lillard!

I'd rather have Babbit than cap space! :)

For the record, I'm glad the Blazers will have a draft pick. But I'm going to start the chant this summer: Trade the pick . . . trade the pick . . . trade the pick

He created a website that became relatively popular.

So did Denny, doesn't mean he's more knowledgable than you or me

He kind of started out as a decent writer when he first got there, but gradually being around the troll Portland media, he has become a half assed troll himself.

Babbitt and Nolan Smith were picks not as good as the 12th pick and were made by lame duck GM's.

Well he rolls with Dwight Jaynes crew now.:auto:

Well if you are going to use Lillard, Babbit is closer to 12 than Lillard.

But I agree that Olshey isn't a lame duck GM. Will be interesting to see what he does with the pick. With so many Blazer projects on the bench, does he add one more to the mix as another potential chip in a big trade or trade the pick to bring in a developed vet that can help this team immediately.

1) Agreed.
2) Oladipo would be fine, but would be redundant with Mathews. If Blazers get Oladipo, Wes would be on the trade block.
3) Agreed. I think Portland ought to be targeting MCW out of Syracuse. Everyone has him pegged as a PG, but I think he will struggle there. If you play him as a SG next to Lillard - both could swap roles all game long. MCW would make a great backup guard for Portland (getting 12mgp at PG and 15mpg at SG).

Well then Oladipo would come cheaper than Mathews, While Mathews should have a very attractive contract in the trading market. You could might be onto something here.

MCW has terrible percentages at shooting. Also Syracuse.

Interesting look at NBA Draft's top 14: http://nbadraft.net/

Out of that 14 there are not that many guys i would hate getting. It's still early and a few more (Maybe internationally) will surface. I think we will be OK at 12.
