They should just try to get Simmons, maybe Westbrook, Draymond, Meyers, and hire Ray Felton. Just go all in on being totally unlikeable.

He's finally supposed to appear in a press conference today, let's see what he has to say and how Rich Paul wants him to play it.
Also...
Ben's coming after their trophy next. Watch out for the Dr. J memorabilia at their PF.
I am not fond of Simmons on this team as you guys know, but this stuff is like a soap opera. and at this point the Sixers are the ones to blame, mainly Morey. Put that in your pipe and smoke it Morey.
Well best case for us, if were going to eventually trade for Simmons, is CJ balls out for the first month or two and Simmons numbers suffer and his value gets ever lower....Maybe we can play hard ball and get Morey to include Thybulle somehow or one of Sixers young prospects as well. Maybe wishful thinking thoughPersonally I go back and forth on it, but if I’m Morey and I can get McCollum for him you just gotta do it. Simmons’ value isn’t gonna get higher, he has no interest in being there, and only showed up for the money. At some point it’s gonna have an effect on the rest of the team.
It’s well known I don’t particularly want the guy, but I’m not so sure you can use this off-season against him in the “baggage” department. This dude comes with baggage that’s not worth checking.

As far as I can recall, he’s never had any serious issues.
Most of this I chalk up to a guy trying to force his way out and an organization that is unwilling to play ball.
I’m sure his value is skyrocketing as we speak. /s
There is a lot of reasons why people don’t want him on this team, and rightfully so. Whichever side you’re on, it’s not hard to see the reasons why someone does or does not want him here. For those of you who don't want Ben here I just have to wonder why. He's not going to be the PG. He's going to be our secondary ball handler and we're going to tell him to score as many buckets as he can get in the restricted area. Oh and then we're going to ask him to do what he loves to do and play world class defense. The dude would be so relieved to get away from Embiid and get to play with a dude that will treat him like Dame would that he'd be chill. He's been chill with Embiid's bullshit for four fucking years.
The Sixers are making this difficult. They should trade his ass and Neil should meet them half way and give them CJ and a pick or two and whatever swaps they want.
We get to be one of the best defenses in the league. We still get to have a great secondary ball handler who actually likes to move the ball. We still get to have a ton of shooting on the court. We become a better team... so it's worth the draft capital especially if us being better keeps Dame here and him and Ben can become a more versatile Stockton and Malone.
If it doesn't keep Dame here then we're starting the rebuild with Simmons in place and adding to him what we get for Dame instead of this crazy idea of getting Simmons for Dame.
Huh what no way. This is squarely on Simmons. He’s total garbage as a teammate and acting like a spoiled baby. Totally unprofessionalI am not fond of Simmons on this team as you guys know, but this stuff is like a soap opera. and at this point the Sixers are the ones to blame, mainly Morey. Maybe this is the plan. He is now not just not coming, he is an active distraction, sort of what Butler was with the T-Pups. This should make them eager to trade him.Simmons isn't doing himself any favors, PR-wise, but I'm not sure a GM, coach, and franchise player could screw up a situation worse than this. Morey has over-played his hand by a power of 37. He seems to be more interested in 'beating' Simmons in this stand-off than salvaging the best situation for the team
Ben Simmons would be an awful get. Its facts not up for debate.
It would be terrible to send a guy out that is a bad defender and get back one of the best in the league. It would be really bad to have a huge secondary ball handler for Dame to get the ball to when doubled. In this new offense it would be horrendous for us to have another willing passer who likes to move the ball and move without it. Finally, it would be so awful to have another all nba selected player on the team. You're right "Its facts not up for debate."Ben Simmons would be an awful get. Its facts not up for debate.
It doesn't, that's why Morey's waiting game makes little sense to me. There are absolutely no avenues for Simmons to actually increase his value right now.
Four ways that I think this hold-out can reduce his value if extended:
1. I think you underestimate how ugly Rich Paul can make this situation both with regards to future clients and leaks to the media about internal troubles in Philly.
2. Players getting constantly pestered into answering questions about Simmons.
3. Losing more in a tightly contested EC playoff race this year where they have a shot at dropping from #1 to a play-in team.
4. Their fans ruining public perception even further.
it is, but dude still hasn't been paid. This is actually the correct strategy to being traded. Lol
