The sound of a pumpkin being smashed is better than Smashing Pumpkins.
Tom Petty and the heartbreakers. Best greatest hits album ever.
Pearl Jam is one of my favorites from that era. Very soulful rock band. I’ve got Eddie Vedder’s solo ukulele recording and it’s great as wellI think Pearl Jam should be on the list at least. 30 plus years going strong and refused to sell out to try to be a mainstay.
Metallica
The Eagles

Love Tom Petty. My spouse didn't listen to him much growing up. Played some of his stuff and she asked me if Tom was on drugs when he made his music.
Yes. Yes he was.
I know of it but have never seen it. Looked it up and saw Tom is in it. Was he good in it?Ever seen the movie “The Postman” with Kevin Costner?
my wife's favorite band...I took her to see them at the Cuthbert ampitheater in Eugene on the river and it was amazing....Heart definitely another good call. What about Love?? I mean Heart?

Wait. Is Journey from the states? Ive no clue but something in my gut says no?
if they are though, tops the list.
People think of them as a pop MTV band but Huey Lewis and the News kicked ass live...I did sound for them at a gig they did and they blew me away...great, tight rock band. Eddie Money as well...great rock bands from the Bay area
I prefer Skid Row, Slave To The Grind is still heavy todayDoes Tesla or Skid Row get the nod?
