When the season is over, we will have the "THE" meet and greet at Stanich's!

I don't live that far from there, but have never been in. I'll have to pile in there this week and try one of their burgers.

Just order the Special! All the walls are covered with old school pennants. It's cool!

meat and great...sounds like something john ameachi would love

Is there really a cheeseburger that uses two grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun?

Sounds like the best thing ever.

"Hey Apu...where's that beer...that has candy floating in it? Skittlebrau?"
"Mr. Homer, I think you must have dreamed this product."

The Giant has been The Giant since I moved to LO in the early 70s.

Do you remember Deja Vu just down Boone's Ferry from there? Man, I LOVED their sammys!

I'd love to see a google street view from back in the day! You can do google "satellite" view going through-out the past though.

The Cheesus Burger

The Soon-to-be-Famous Burger Behemoth. We’ve done away with the bun and
replaced it with two grilled cheese sandwiches. That’s right, two of them.
One on top, one on the bottom. Pickles and American cheese inside one, Grilled
Onion and Colby Jack in the other. Lettuce, Tomato, Ketchup, Mustard, and
1/3lb Burger in between. You won’t need to eat again for 2 days.
Comes with a bag of chips and a case of napkins. $8.00

I do. For a trip down memory lane, did you ever go to Shakey's on Boone's Ferry?

Funny thing. Back in "the day" my buddies an I would walk in there following yet another Pacers football victory...order a pizza to go, then proceed to put a number of quarters in that juke box and push Don Ho's Tiny Bubbles, like 10 times, then walk out before it started playing. :dunno:

Before the reno I was in a picture or two. I don't know if I'm on the wall now.

Helvetia Tavern in Hillsboro. I haven't had a burger there in like 10-12 years but when I worked close I went quite often. They had great Burgers and fries but not sure if they are still that good. It is off the beaten path and a little hard to find.
