Re: BEST day ever!
Ok... I had a basketball game today, before the game we had a motivational speaker come to center court and make a speech to the players involved in the game (my team) he gave a huge speech about staying out of trouble and using our brains to get a free ticket into college to get an education and play ball. This motivational speaker was.... Wali Jones. He won an NBA title with the 76ers back in 1967 alongside Wilt Chamberlain (he's in the NBA hall of fame for being on that team) He made the NBA all rookie team his freshman season in the league. He showed us his title ring he won with the Sixers, and the ring the Miami Heat gave him after they won the NBA title last season. He averaged 10.1 ppg in his 12 year NBA career. He played with Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant's dad, Moses Malone, Hal Greer, ect.He gave me a scouting report after my game (as well as a few other guys), you have no idea how excited and happy I was. I couldn't hold back my smile. He told me "You're a good shooter, you play tough aggressive defense, you have soft hands around the basket, and you're a good shot blocker." As for the negatives, he told me "You pass up too many open looks, you don't rebound as well as you should for your size, and you don't follow your shots."I really can't explain how happy I am hearing that from a former NBA star. He currently works as a motivational speaker for the Miami Heat (which is why he got a championship ring from the Heat)Check out his Heat profile:http://www.nba.com/heat/community/wali_jones_bio.htmlWiki:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wali_Jones

This must've been 10x better considering who he was.
