1995-2005
Since 1995 has been the best time in world history. Ample resources, incredibly lowe inflation, safest and cheapest shipping and improved quality of life.
It has literally been the best time in world history because the soviet union was disassembled and their wealth was sold off at pennies on the dollar. China was gooseing their economy to make everything dirt cheap, and the Baby Boomers (world wide) were such a large and eager to work demographic that they flattened the cost of labor while still spending incredibly amounts of money.
There were no recessions between 95 and 2005, so I think that would be the best 10 years. But really from mid-90s to 2019 was the best stretch the world has ever had, and almost certainly the best it will be in our lifetimes.
The Soviet Union has been completely sold off, China is done as an economic hub, and the average boomer is retiring this year, and moving their money out of the economy into far safer investments.
We now have to make up for decades of lost inflation, so it's going to be very high inflation for a while. And nearly every country is hitting a huge population bomb or already has. We will not have enough labor to maintain. The US is better off than nearly everybody else thanks to the millennials. But tough times ahead for the next 15-25 years unless some crazy technology comes along to save us.
