I still don't understand how Myck Kabongo could have slipped entirely out of the draft. I know his jumper's been shakey, but c'mon, the guy's an insane floor general.

I also would have thought Seth Curry, Brandon Paul, and Trevor Mbakwe would have found a place in the league.

If I had to list them, I think I'd personally look at it sort of like this -

1) Myck Kabongo
2) Seth Curry
3) Brandon Paul
4) Trevor Mbakwe
5) Phil Pressey
6) Khalif Wyatt
7) Adonis Thomas
8) C.J. Leslie
9) Christian Watford
10) Brandon Davies
11) Matthew Dellavedova

Anyone else got a shortlist of guys they thought should have been drafted?

Richard Howell's a guy I knew wasn't going to get drafted but whom I think can be a productive player.

Best Undrafted Players (the Wesleys)

Myck Kabongo went undrafted! But the guy I hope the Blazers were on the phone to the minute they saw the last pick is Jackie Carmichael. Any others?

Seth Curry?

Kabongo was supposed to go in the lottery this time last year. Wow.

CJ Leslie ---> New York
Phil Pressey ---> Celtics
Rodney Williams ---> 76ers
Troy Daniels ---> Bobcats

Hopefully we grab one or two of these guys for summer league.

What about DJ Stephens? I thought someone would take him in the 2nd round based on his sheer athletisism. Guys have risen into the lotto due to their athletic ability. 46 inch vertical, 7 foot wingspan 2.98 sprint.

Kabongo will play for the Heat in Summer League, I just read somewhere.

Apparently he AND Kabongo will be on the Heat SL team. It's looking more and more like the Heat had an awesome non-draft.

How young is he? Maybe the Blazers should pick him up.

This guy intrigues me:

He's a big PG. Downside, not a great defender. Really we need a defender along with a pure point.

(Apparently St. Mary's gets all the young Aussie PGs.)

It says here:

Some undrafted free-agents have already signed deals with teams:

  1. Troy Daniels — VCU (Free-Agent Contract Charlotte Bobcats)
  2. Rodney Williams — Minnesota (Free-Agent Contract Philadelphia 76ers)
  3. Phil Pressey — Missouri (Free-Agent Contract Boston Celtics)
  4. C.J. Leslie — N.C. State (Free-Agent Contract New York Knicks)
  5. LaMont Jones — Iona (Boston Celtics)
  6. Khalif Wyatt — Temple (Dallas Mavericks Summer League)
  7. C.J. Aiken — St. Joseph’s (Sacramento Kings Summer League)

There were three CJ's in the draft? We missed a golden opportunity! Add CJ Miles and bring Caldwell Jones out of retirement just for the hell of it to field a full lineup.

Anyone ever heard of Ian Clark? He was the co-player of the year of the Ohio Valley Conference (shared with Isiah Canaan), defensive player of the year of the Ohio Valley Conference, shot 54% FGs, 46% on 3's. Never shot below 40% from 3 for his career.

Hes playing on the Warriors Summer League team. Seems like no ones ever heard of him despite the accolades. Possible Gary Neal type.

Can't believe Kabongo and Leslie went undrafted. Seth Curry I can see. I don't think much of him, but I also didn't think Steph would translate well lol.

Laurence Bowers

Bowers just signed up for the Grizzlies summer league. I think he's got a lot more realistic of a shot to make the squad than Vander Blue (or at least I hope). I watched a lot of Marquette games this year (I have a sister there), and Blue's a poor man's O.J. Mayo. The guy's a chucker, whereas Bowers plays within a team concept, has developed a jumper, and well, he grew up in Memphis. I think he has the edge on actually getting a roster spot.

Yeah man, the guy played at my sister's high school (they also had Austin Hollins from Minnesota and Todd Mayo from Marquette... maybe one of the reasons Clark was overlooked as a recruit)... can't believe I drew a blank on him though. Shit, I'd rather have him in my summer league than Vander Blue... really good get for ya'll. He was the reason I had Belmont going to the Sweet 16 and fucking up my bracket this year haha.
