I know you hippie scum love to bike on hipster bikes. So reco something under $500. Not a mountain bike or a racing bike. Something kind of cool, hipster and easy to do.

Those will be heavy and inefficient and all fixies. Get a road bike, like KHS.

I bike recreationally to the beach. just leisurely biking, nothing serious. not going uphill. i might get the single speed version.

test ride a road bike and a cruiser bike and make your decision. Most good bike shops should let you test ride them.

Speaking of bikes. Someone down here in Houston had a swing bike they were riding. Anyone else old enough to remember those? I had one as a kid, and loved it. It looked new, so I am not sure if they are coming back into style, or he made or modified it

This is bad ass!!!

I've always been a fan of Trek bikes. I buy a new Trek mtn bike every 3-4 years.

That black Trek was only $399. Not bad. Look, I'm not a super biker man. I'm not going biking 50 miles, I'm biking down to the beach and along the boardwalk on the weekends this summer, that's all really.

something smooth, easy and comfortable.

Then that Trek cruiser is perfect for ya!

wonder if i can sell my old trek for a few hundred bucks.kind of shitty shape i left it outside alot.

you commute on a Mtn Bike? Why not a road bike? This boggles my mind.

I personally think mtn bikes are far more comfortable for commuting... and I cant afford both. I hate how you feel every little bump on road bikes. I love hitting the trails, so a mtn bike is an easy choice for me.
