Ahhhh, so THAT'S were his orange hair and skin tone comes from.

Glad Obama chimed in and warned the dem party not to get to crazyleft and alienate mod dems and republicans. This is very wise of him and I do think the majority of liberals feel that way too.
So I expect to see Pete, Joe, Amy and other candidates focus on the middle.

Since I've retired I've gone through a stretch where I smoked a lot of pot....that's calmed down mostly since I've had health issues. Now I'm making edibles and if you get the dose correct, it's way better than Tylenol or Ibuprofen...in moderation cannabis is great medicine...overdoing it and I think you risk turning into a cream puff...I don't think it's the answer for young folks trying to build a future but on a recreational level....it's better than booze anyday.

I no longer smoke during the day, otherwise I wouldn't get anything done. Like Cup, nowadays I only do it the evenings in order to help me sleep. Of course in between the time I toke up and go to bed, the maniacal munchies take over.

"Mmmmmm, Chee-tos"....(Homer Simpson voice)
If I toke in the afternoon, my wife (an absolute non toker) prefers I indulge in a “productive “ sativa. It usually get me going like a house afire on her honeydew list. At my age that’s my idea of marital compromise......

I basically dont do any of it so they could tax it all 1000% percent if they wanted and it wouldnt effect me at all, except maybe safer roads from all these idiots driving while impaired.

I do have a glass of wine here or there.

Red or white?

I used to smoke all the time. I do on occasion now. It should be legal and taxed. I see it differently than other drugs like Cocain, Herion, meth etc. Marijuana is natural. You pull it off the plant and start smoking.

Those other drugs all require plants and other unnatural chemicals and whatnot to be processed. I have smoked weed and I tried shrooms once. Never made me want to use the other shit.

Don't care for needles or smoking gasoline no thanks.

Mostly red's. It's healthy for your heart.
I'm sort of proof that that isn't the case....loved my red wines and brandy which were both supposed to be good for your heart but the thing is...they aren't good for your liver or heart long term....in extreme moderation they may have medicinal effects but wine will enlarge the liver and systolic chamber of the heart...I tested the theory and had heart failure...my heart doctor said I should avoid it at all costs. I had quit drinking half a year before my heart failed...I quit because I was getting liver spots on my skin....they are all gone now.

According to most research like 3-4 glasses a weak is healthy for your heart and your immune system.
Everyone’s body is at least somewhat different, and yeah there are other risks to it. I dont even come close to the 3-4 a week though. More like a 2 or so a month...

I should rephrase that to most of the research I've seen.
Also I'm sorry about the health issues you've had. I am glad to hear you're doing better.

You should be fine then....my understanding is that the liver can process a glass of wine in an hour and a half....two glasses in three hours...etc...the other thing is alcohol tends to enable other unhealthy things like salt intake or tobacco use, etc....I highly recommend sobriety when it comes to general health and I love alcohol ….I've just finished that chapter of my life

I was an alcoholic for a chapter of my life... I really felt like I couldn't live sober, when I was sober I hated every minute of my life, but I'm never going back down that road again.

Wow. You contradicted yourself with two sentences. Impressive.

Quite Stupid./ Proven OK by the States that have vision and the Feds need all the $$ they can rip off it's people.

It looks like I and possibly others may have jumped to conclusions here:

Biden's position on pot seems to be: —Decriminalize nationally —Legalize medical nationally —Let states legalize recreational —Release all people with pot convictions from jail —Remove pot from Sched 1. —Do more research to see long-term harm potential/if it's a "gateway drug"

Which isn't quite as grandpa-ish after all.

I would say tobacco and alcohol are also gateway drugs. The feds do their best to regulate and tax them. Feds need to regulate and tax pot.

Alcohol and tobacco kill more Americans than any other drugs.

Now that the government is controlling marijuana I expect they will find a way to make it kill Americans also.

For whatever reason, I’m literally immune to certain prescription meds. Opioids and/or codeine derivatives do absolutely nothing for me but cause major constipation. It’s like taking a sugar pill. The only legal pain relief that works for me is ibuprofen, and that shit is terrible for the kidneys and (supposedly) the liver. Thank God for CBD. Amazing stuff.......as is the Purple Hindu Kush......
I have about 1% of my kidney function and the medical experts that I've been dealing with tell me not to take Ibuprofen. Of course, I've also get a heart condition that requires me to take a blood thinner. I've been taking the blood thinner for about two decades so I can't take either aspirin or ibuprofen for reasons of them affecting the thinness of my blood.

I take marijuana gummies all the time. Have a 6 diget job, taking low doses can actually help you mentally. Much less toxic than alcohol. Less toxic than almost all the medications out there. It has not increased my interest in anything else in the slightest

Better but it's still not good enough, States decision is always cop out. Without federal regulation there will continue to be issues like the vitamin e acitate in vape juice. Weed is not very harmful until it meets capitalism.

Ah, who can resist the Marijuana munchies? Answer - It's been proven in the laboratory that everyone who smokes weed gets the munchies. I believe I recall reading that in a scientific publication. Wait, it's coming back, The Mary Jane Digest.
The only conundrum is when you smoke weed you get both the uncontrollable munchies and the intense desire to rest wherever you are. Hence, what do you do? The solution I've oh so cleverly come up with is to set yourself a stash of junk crap very very near your elbow before you light up. Also, make sure the TV remote is just as nearby or you can put on an endless recording of your favorite music and look out the window at the world passing by.Some people do both but I find it tiresome adjusting my eye focus first close by and then far away, repeat . . .
