Big Man situation

Krstic is probably three weeks away from contributing at a decent level...just my speculation...but it's his overall physical shape, not his knee.</p>

Williams and Boone are dividing a lot of big man minutes and be happy they are both producing. Frank played them alonside each other in preseason but not much so far, using them interchangeably the last two games. Comparing their totals last two games:</p>

Williams: 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 for 7 shooting, 1 block in 24 minutes.
Boone: 12 points, 5 rebounds, 5 for 9 shooting, 1 block in 29 minutes.</p>

Collins minutes are shrinking. He is playing 18.5 mpg this season, compared to his career average of 25. Those numbers will continue drop as the season and Williams/Boone progress.</p>

I though Malik Allen was a mistake, but he played very well the last couple of games. It does appear they made a mistake in picking up Magloire for $4 million...although I guess it's early.</p>

It is too early to give up on Magloire. Frank hasn't played him nearly enough.</p>

Meanwhile, Malik has played far too much, and is a complete joke. The last two games haven't really impressed me, and they don't change the fact that Allen completely sucks at defense.</p>

Sean Williams and Josh Boone will continue to get better only if they get minutes...I hate the fact that Frank is trying to giving seven players minutes for 2 positions...its a joke. Its no wonder why nobody gets in a rhythm. Allen is a liability on the court...as is Collins. Nenad needs a month or so to rehab still then needs to nurse himself into playing shape for the last month of the season. Boone and Williams need to play on the court with eachother. Now. Also for Boone haters...We are +9 and +13 with him on the court the last two games...thats no a fluke.</p>

I don't know why Magloire plays like he's 50.

Maybe with enough rest he can be rejuvinated come playoff time.

If the Nets make the playoffs, they should have their most productive bigs in a long time.

Right now, Williams is averaging 18.9 minutes per game, Collins is averaging 18.5, seven minutes less than his career average. The threshold has been crossed.</p>

I don't want to give up on Magloire...yet. There is no way in hell his body movement could have dropped from decently moveable to stonefeet in one year. he's not even 30 yet. Remember the higlight reel I posted of him of his year in Portland? Thats what we need from him. I'll give him to the trade deadline to see if he can limber up.</p>

I'm assming he's just starting slow.</p>

Im assuming the same thing. he had a very slow start last year as well(not as bad, but still a rough start).</p>

Last year's excuse though was that he wasnt in shape.</p>

Maybe a lil earlier than the trading deadline. He keeps playin like shit until about January, him and his expiring contract will be outta here.</p>

Jamaal Magloire is fine, he never plays decent minutes with Kidd, Carter, Jefferson.</p>

And I still want to see what happens if Big Three and Sean Williams are playing alongside Magloire.</p>

If you want to play with the Nets, you should be careful, while you have a bad game, then you'll be benched for the next couple games.</p>

Unfortunately, it might be true that we should give up on him. He probably won't *ever* get a fair shot the way things are going.</p>
