Years ago, the Blazers officially sponsored the predictions game offering two game tickets to monthly winners and, if I recall correctly, something like a signed basketball for the full-season winner.

Now that we are their official message board, I wonder if they will pick that up again and sponsor the predictions game again. 'Twould be nice. It would be cool if they sponsored different prizes for the "standard" winner and the "homer" winner.

Gramps...

I loved when we would get memorabilia from gramps game. I once got a signed copy by Zbo of a rip city magazine and my pride and joy are my official Trailblazer shoes signed by Outlaw. Also remember when addidas would give out a $50 coupon to their on line store for the monthly winner.

Been playing gramps game for over 10 years now? Back during the ESPN days if I remember right.

So Denny, 1- I was curious why I wasn't involved in the decision making and 2- As much traffic as I bring in here, shouldn't their be some sort of compensation?

You're back already? That didnt last long. No surprise.

We'll probably get a bunch of Trail Blazers employees joining SportsTwo soon.

This is just the first step in Denny purchasing the Blazers and trading all our good players to the Bulls.

I'm not wild about the new colors for the forum.

I like them. and the banner is nice too.

It freaks out my iPhone, making the actual forum part really narrow as the phone squeezes the entire width of the banner onto the screen. Otherwise, it's fine.

Use the TapaTalk app for your phone? I do, and it rocks. For iPad, too.

I like the banner a lot. It is my third favorite banner. My favorite banner is Star Spangled Banner (maybe even the Natalie Gilbert version). A very close second is Bruce Banner (Hulk is tough to beat). My third favorite banner is this banner.

Does this mean the mods are now Blazer employees???

Also how awesome would it be for HCP to be permabanned on the Official Blazers Message Board.

LOL! I'm going to have to rep this post.

No but if the Blazers win the championship this year we get to purchase the employee version of the championship ring.

Congratulations to Denny. Things have come a long way since we were sitting at Vegas Summer League and you were sharing your vision for this forum, huh?

Congratulations also to the mods and admins (present and past) who put the time and effort in to build up the forum.

Agreed, I think it's the very back layer as white, looks almost monotone... maybe red or black for that last border...

yeah if You tilt your computer screen back, you can the five or six different varieties of white. That's a bit annoying.

Oh Dap, S2 in S2! Now all we need is Dave or Ben to make another appearance!
hi mom!

Me too. Whoever designed it should be given multiple rep points by a mod. Very cool.

I think they were given privilege to lift it from THE OFFICIAL (ps can we still use that joke now?) blazer website.

Permission, yep. It's also a requirement that we visually fit in with the nba.com sites.

I don't see that as any kind of sacrifice... We are truly the official message board of the Trail Blazers.

I really wish you'd stick here and post. It's our loss that you don't. PM me if there's some kind of issue we can discuss.

Story's a man of the cloth. Just what some of the Jackals in here need. ;)

I've been talking with him about updating his salary info on our site.

One thing I'm curious about--Blazers marketing style specifications seems pretty strict about color usage. If you look you'll notice they never use any gradient of red--it's always a solid. Probably because red fading to white looks very pink, and red fading to black always looks muddy in print. (This isn't print, but a big part of branding is consistency of color across media.)
Not trying to tell you how to do your job, but I suspect at some point somebody with the Blazers will ask you to do away with the red-to-black gradients and make them solid. Also do away with non-standard dark reds.
It's probably easier to understand if you think of the Blazers as a black/white/gray brand with solid red accents. By far the most used color on their site is actually white (a huge upgrade from the old gloomy black). The most used color on this site is gray.
The site as is is closer to the Blazers branding than it used to be, but it's got some work still.
