Modern man excuse: I never watch games live. I always DVR the game and start watching at halftime so I can fast forward through commercials, free throws, etc.

What if the first half was fantastic? I have a friend that does that and gets pissed when the second halfs are blowouts. Then I tell him the first half was kick ass.

You didn't get it. He DVRs it then start watching the first half when the real time game is in the second half, this way he can fast forward to all the downtimes

Yep, that way I watch every second of Blazers basketball and nothing else.

The beginning of last season I celebrated games by quarters....winning a quarter was starting to be exciting...winning two was thrilling...it helps me through those bad stretches....we lost a lot of first quarters and halves early...
