Yep. New Jersey is the biggest loser. At least NY got a player, and got themselves a nice trade with GSW for some pieces.

The Nets just got nothing.

The only way they become the biggest loser in this is if they spend all their current cap space on dudes like Trout. If they do, then they are fucked. If not, then they are simply trying to build a contender in the same way Portland and OKC have tried to do.

I think Lebron is the biggest loser.

I honestly feel that if he had gone anywhere but Miami that people would have been ok with it after a time. He cost himself millions of fans, and the chance to go down as a very beloved athlete. He might not realize it, or even care right now, but at some point he will.

Who outside Orlando cared that Shaq ditched them when he was winning a threepeat in LA? Apparently people can forgive Kobe for rape. I think James will be forgiven by midseason by everybody outside Ohio.

Cleveland, most, because they surrounded James with complementary players, hired a GM and coach to his liking, rebuilt the franchise around him, and now they are maybe a .500 team in a half empty (road and home) arena.

Knicks, because they spent 2 years saying LeBron was coming to a very bad team. LeBron learned in Cleveland he can't win a title by himself. And the Cavs were a better team than the Knicks, even with Amare.

The Bulls, because they've been looking for a savior since Jordan left.

I think the Nets less than others, they got nothing but they do have some young talent, a long term plan, and a rich and hopefully patient owner.

The Lakers, because some of the sports media said the very best thing in the world would be James/Bryant together.

The Clippers, still irrelevant.

The rest of the West counts as winners, as west continues to have a lot more parity.

I don't think he came across as obnoxious. He wasn't really very slick or polished. Of course what was obnoxious was the very fact of the show. But soon such things will be so commonplace that we'll forget it seemed weird.

So you would rather him go to the Lakers? Personally I respect him more for ditching Cleveland for a place he will be happy at, instead of buying into the whole New York "media capital of the world" sales pitch.

You're kidding, right? Riley has had this cap space plan for a couple years. I've read Miami beat writers, and they've written many articles over the past year or two about how Riley was gambling on the 2010 free agency class.

If players like Jared Dudley can have a Twitter account, it makes sense that the best player of his generation can have an hour-long show dedicated to the single biggest decision of his career.
