Bill Cosby Cancels Guest Spot With Letterman Amid Rape Allegations

Bill Cosby’s upcoming appearance on CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman” has been canceled amid a growing uproar over allegations that he sexually assaulted several women in past decades. Cosby spokesman David Brokaw confirmed Friday night that Cosby would not appear next Wednesday as previously scheduled. He did not say why.

“Late Show” representative Kimberly Izzo-Emmet said, “We can’t comment on the guest booking process.” She said Regis Philbin would be the replacement guest. Another canceled engagement, on “The Queen Latifah Show” on Oct. 30, was characterized by that show as a postponement granted at Cosby's request.

Former Model Janice Dickinson Accuses Bill Cosby of Sex Assault

Model and TV host Janice Dickinson is adding her name to the women who have accused comic Bill Cosby of sexual assault. In an "Entertainment Tonight" interview that aired Tuesday, Dickinson said that the 1982 incident occurred in Lake Tahoe, California, where he was performing. Dickinson told "Entertainment Tonight" that she wrote about the assault in her 2002 autobiography, but that Cosby and his lawyers pressured her and the publisher to remove the details. She said her new account is a "true story."

Cosby's attorney, Marty Singer, blasted the assault allegation as a "complete lie." He also flatly rejected Dickinson's claim that the model was pressured to remove details of an assault.

"You can confirm with Harper Collins that she never claimed that Mr. Cosby raped her, that no attorney representing Bill Cosby tried to kill the story...and no one tried to prevent anything she wanted to say about Bill Cosby in her book," he said in a statement. "There is documentary proof that Janice Dickinson is fabricating and lying about Bill Cosby."

Another actress accuses Bill Cosby of sexual assault in Las Vegas hotel

A predatory Bill Cosby, in a freaky Las Vegas hotel scene, allegedly assaulted another actress — who was forced to fondle America’s Dad in his luxury suite.

The naked Cosby was lying in wait before the 1992 ambush of model-actress Angela Leslie, a beauty who says she was targeted after sending the comedian a letter and photograph.

“The main thing I want is for people to know him for who he really is,” Leslie told the Daily News on Thursday. “He’s not this dad of America.”

After a driver delivered her to the hotel, she checked into her room before Cosby summoned Leslie to his place. When she spoke about her career aspirations, Cosby called for an impromptu audition.

New Bill Cosby accusers are nurse and former Playboy bunny

Two more women have come forward to accuse Bill Cosby of sexual assault -- one, a registered nurse who had previously accused Cosby anonymously, and another, a former Playboy bunny.

Carla Ferrigno, an actress and the wife of "The Incredible Hulk" star Lou Ferrigno, said she has never told her story to anyone, but decided to come forward after hearing other women.

"Another nail in the coffin," she told the Daily Mail.

Ferrigno was working as a Playboy Bunny in 1967 when she was approached by a man at Los Angeles Airport who asked her for her phone number. She says the man took her out on a date, then asked if she wanted to meet Cosby, who he described as a close friend.

"[Cosby] was there. Camille. I can't remember anyone's name anymore, but I remember hers. I will never forget her," she said, of meeting the comedian and his wife.

A bad month keeps getting worse for Bill Cosby. As recently as a week ago, 16 women had accused the veteran comedian of sexual assault. Now, that number stands at 20 - and the fallout is mounting.

On Wednesday, the Berklee School of Music and Cosby's alma mater, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, became the latest institutions to cut ties with the 77-year-old comedian as more women stepped forward with accusations.

Cosby, who was awarded a PhD in education from UMass-Amherst in 1977, had been an honorary co-chair of the university's US$300 million (NZ$380m) fundraising campaign and one of its most distinguished alumni. He has donated between US$250,000 and US$499,999 and to the school over the years and raised $1.5 million during a benefit performance in 2004, according to the Boston Globe.

For the first time since recent rape allegations have surfaced about Bill Cosby, the star's woes are now heading to the legal arena.

The tweets comes as pressure is mounting for Cosby, 77, to say more about the allegations.

So far, his only comments about the 20 women who have told similar decades-old stories of sexual assault, came before his Melbourne, Fla., show when he told Florida Today reporters, "I know people are tired of me not saying anything, but a guy doesn't have to answer to innuendos."

Will the new lawsuit force him to address the accusations? Maybe.

Model and actress Beverly Johnson, best known as the first African-American to appear on Vogue's cover, is the latest woman to come forward alleging Bill Cosby drugged and attempted to assault her.

Johnson met Cosby in the mid-80s, when the comedian asked her to audition for a small role on The Cosby Show, she writes in Vanity Fair. While running lines at his house, she says he spiked her cappuccino. As she got woozier, she realized what was happening and yelled at him while he had his hands around her waste.

Cosby won't be charged over molestation claim

Los Angeles prosecutors on Tuesday declined to file any charges against Bill Cosby after a woman recently claimed the comedian molested her around 1974.

The rejection of a child sexual abuse charge by prosecutors came roughly 10 days after the woman, Judy Huth, met with Los Angeles police detectives for 90 minutes.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office rejected filing a misdemeanor charge of annoying or molesting a child under the age of 18 because the statute of limitations had passed.

Days before Huth spoke to police, she accused Cosby in a civil lawsuit of forcing her to perform a sex act on him in a bedroom of the Playboy Mansion when she was 15 years old. Cosby's attorney said that Huth attempted to extort $250,000 from the comedian before she sued and that she'd attempted to sell her story to a tabloid a decade ago.

Another woman has come forward claiming to be a victim of sexual assault by Bill Cosby.

The alleged crime, "Lisa" told DR. PHIL on Friday, happened over twenty years ago. She says that in the '80s, she was a model and had auditioned for Cosby, causing the two to form a friendship. He randomly called her one time to come to his hotel so he could see her full acting potential.

Lisa says the comedian gave her a shot of something brown, and despite her insistence that she did not drink, he told her the drink would help her with her lines. When she drank it, she began to feel uneasy.

Bill Cosby to File Motion to Dismiss Defamation Suit Filed by Three Accusers

Bill Cosby is seeking dismissal of defamation suit filed by his three accusers. His lawyer said on Tuesday, February 24 that they would ask a federal judge to throw out a defamation lawsuit filed by Tamara Green, Therese Serignese and Linda Traitz. They plan to file a motion in court on Friday, February 27.

Tamara filed the defamation suit against Bill in federal court in Massachusetts on December 10, 2014. Therese and Linda later joined the suit with Therese accusing Bill of drugging and raping her in 1976 and Linda alleging the comedian tried to drug her and then sexually groped her in 1970.

The three women alleged Bill defamed their "good name and reputation" when he branded them liars. They are seeking an unspecified amount of money for compensatory and punitive damages.

Three more women came forward publicly Wednesday to accuse Bill Cosby of sexually inappropriate behavior, creating yet another wave of allegations that the comedian abused his power by drugging and assaulting women.

One woman was a cocktail server at a jazz club in Redondo Beach, California, in the 1970s. She accused Cosby of stealing her panties after drugging her and assaulting her in her car while she was unconscious.
