Billups: I hate that we’re a counterpunching team

Being a counterpunching team is just a euphemism for being not very good. Good teams often get a lead. Bad teams often play from behind, aka counterpunch. It’s not a style it’s a situation so you can’t will or decide your way out of it.

We're just seeing what Chauncey and everyone mentioned before the start of the season...this change of system is going to take time and it's not always going to be pretty...we're looking at Jekyl and Hyde game to game....it'll gel or it won't but it's way too early to give up on the process

“Counterpunching” is 100% spot on.
Our early season shooting percentage only provides a soft punch!

It’s because for several years we have not played “team basketball!”

for crying out loud; the next time the clock is at 6 seconds, we are down by 2, and we get the last shot after a time out……let someone else shoot the ball besides Dame! It’s almost a joke that we cannot have Dame used as a decoy and let someone else give it a try!

A one-dimensional squad will not win a ring!

That's the way we want to see them play for 48 minutes.
