Boyle was making a play on the puck and saw Glass and got scared. If that's a penalty then all any player has to do is pull back away from the puck when a check is coming and then it's a penalty. Bullshit on that call chuck. That's a hockey play. If Glass doesn't skate towards him and hit him and Boyle plays the puck he skates past Glass and into the zone. It's a bogus penalty. Boyle made a play to make an effort to get the puck and only pulled back once he saw Glass coming. It's not a penalty. It's hockey. This is not a woman's league. This is the NHL and it's a legit hit.

Watch that replay chuck and not in super slow mo. Glass got that penalty based upon reputation. Boyle was sticking out his stick to try and get the puck, sees Glass lining him up and then pulls his stick back and gets hit. If Glass doesn't hit him, Boyle gets that pucks and skates into the zone. It's a clean hit.

I still don't know what Girardi was doing on that first goal. Guy is right in front of the goal, there's no one near Girardi (closest guy is at the blue line) and Girardi is just defending open ice instead of covering the guy wide open in front of the net. Those type of mental lapses are consistently happening in every game and are why we keep getting out played and look foolish in our own zone. We just can't seem to stay out of our own way in the defensive zone. Ughhh.

But you do you. Back on earth, this team still sucks, AV still can't figure out line combos or adjust his system to get them better in the defensive zone, which as much as we say that these are all professionals, when they slump it is the coach's job to help correct their mistakes. At some point the coach MUST be held responsible for the same defensive zone mistakes over and over again. Whether it's AV or Ulf, someone needs to be held accountable for this teams abysmal play in their own zone and the inability to fix it.

We're dominating 5 v 5 but the PK has been awful because THEY DON'T clear the front of the net. That's part of coaching, you know since the COACH sets the lines and determines who is scratched. I don't get you. At some point it IS ok for you to criticize the coach and say he needs to adjust and not be given a pass. I'm not saying he needs to get fired, but he needs to be held accountable by some of you in here. This whole "he's made Stanley Cup finals before" defense means nothing. After a while, EVERY coach has to adjust when teams adjust to them. I'm still yet to see AV do that. By you all saying AV has made Cup finals before, well than Torts must be even better and more amazing than AV because he's won a Cup, right? Or does it not work that way for Torts and only coaches you like?
