One of my best friends bought a condo at Black Butte Ranch a couple years ago. Gutted out the entire inside and completely remodeled it. Heading there this weekend from Sunday to Wednesday. Would love any recommendations on things to do. We’ve never been there before. We aren’t going to golf, just was wondering about shopping for groceries, or bike rentals or things like that. Thanks in advance.

I have 2nd cousins (sisters) who bought a house at Black Butte and rent it out.

I'm only sharing because it means I'm wealthy bi-proxy.

No, but one of them was smokin' hot when we were teens (she's only a few years younger than I am, so it's slightly less creepy)

There is a store there (small) and expensive. Id go into Sisters and shop there. BB is known for horse back riding, I think you'd really enjoy! There are bike rentals.
They have a decent bar, but there isnt a whole lot to do at BBR. Most women want to head into Sisters to the Quilt Shop....

Be warned this is Rodeo Weekend. This might be the busiest weekend in Sisters all year. Going to be lots of people. I am not sure if any tickets are available, but if you enjoy a rodeo, might check that out. Bend is not far away also if you enjoy Bend and it's downtown.

Yes, was told we have to go to SIsters for groceries. Unfortunately it’s the rodeo weekend there…..oh snap. Lucky for us we won’t get into BB until about 7pm Sunday…hope we miss the mess. Would love to rent bikes for sure.

Yeah just found this out and NO….would rather chill and relax.
 
I didn't know that the Sisters Rodeo is this weekend. I wouldn't mind seeing that.

Check the pdf link for BBR bike rentals and map etc.

Suttle Lake might rent kayaks and the like...I haven't been there since new ownership :dunno:

The Camp Sherman general store used to rent mtn bikes for decent prices.
 
There’s like a Safeway or something a short distance in Sisters. There’s 3 pools there that are quite nice and you can drink Cerveza’s at.

I love Black Butte even though it pretty yuppy.

Yeah we are right on the lake and close to the pool. Just plan on chilling and going for some walks and bike rides. @THE HCP doesn’t do canoes and kayaks FAMS! I’m good at floating obviously, just not IN something.
