Not the "staying indoors" part people have a problem with, more if they just didn't:
  • Assault random citizens
  • Burn police cars
  • Smash car windows
  • Spray graffiti all over monuments, businesses and private propery
  • Loot businesses, then set said businesses on fire
  • Destroy and decimate small businesses that were forced to be closed for 3 to 4 months due to a pandemic and about to reopen
  • Walk on freeways, streets, tthoroughfaresand assault motorists and destroy their car windows
  • Throw bricks in store and government building windows
  • Burn government buildings
  • Burn churches/places of worship
I guess if they stayed indoors, we wouldn't have those problems above though.

there are 'rioters' and 'looters' in nearly all protests everywhere. For chrissakes there have been spring break riots for decades by young white Americans. Seaside, Oregon has been under martial law 3 or 4 times over the last half century at spring break from college students out of control. Kids making Animal House look like romper room

what is obvious is that there are vested political interests in this country that want people to focus on the destruction the extremists and flat-out criminals are causing, and ignore what is at the heart of the protests. There are lots of people that only want to talk about the looters and not about the police crushing the throats of black Americans. They want to focus on the symptoms and not the disease. They want the valid and understandable anger of black Americans to be crushed by the force of arms under the false banner of law & order. If there was law & order we wouldn't be in this mess

basically, they want things to go right back to where they were....back to where a white father and son chased down a black jogger and murdered him; back to where cops bust into the wrong home and murder a 26 year old woman; back to where a cop can crush the life out of a helpless, handcuffed man on the pavement. They absolutely want to use the damage from rioting as a distraction from the injustice of racism, and an excuse to change the subject to one in their favor

I wish the people that feel compelled to protest would cede the streets and leave the looters and extremists with no cover. But if they don't, I'm not blind enough to lose sight of everything that is going on right now, or how we got to this point in time
