Did they really “yell” police? The guy never mentioned police in the 911 call
seems like a normal law abiding citizen protecting his first amendment right to protect his home from and unknown intruder. This is what we’ve been told is perfectly acceptable for homeowners to do.
sorry but they murdered her
Yeah, it might be just manslaughter because of a flawed search warrant. Whoever was involved in the process of creating and getting the okay for the search warrant might be charged with manslaughter.I know I'm never going to change your mind, but based upon the known facts it wasn't murder. He was visiting his girl friend and, assuming he didn't hear them identify themselves as police, he legally has a right to defend himself and his girlfriend from unknown intruders. He's not being charged with shooting the cop. The police were there with a legal search warrant. It didn't require them to identify themselves, but there's testimony from the cops and a neighbor that they did. Either way, the police were within the legal authority granted by the warrant to enter the apartment. Once fired upon, they had the legal right to defend themselves as well. Legal rights don't confer immunity from terrible outcomes.
There are a lot of things that stink about this whole affair. From what I've read, the evidence used to get the warrant was very thin and may have been exaggerated to the judge by detective who requested it. You can yell systemic racism until the cows come home about that whole set of circumstances and I won't disagree. There were improprieties during the investigation after the shooting where at least one of the cops involved (the guy who got fired, I believe) was at the scene when he shouldn't have been allowed anywhere near it. There are probably other things I'm not aware of that smell of a possible coverup. I have zero problems with nailing anyone who may have been involved in that kind of crap. All of that said, I sincerely doubt that if any of us were in the position of the police officers who entered the apartment with a legal warrant and were shot at, and one hit by the bullet, would have hesitated to protect ourselves. It's awful, but it isn't murder.

there is now a frame by frame sequence of the shooting
the shooting victim actually assaulted the guard prior to being shot, hitting the guard in the face pretty hard, and was macing him and the reporter he was hired to protect when the shooting occurred

What a crazy system that keeps us uninformed to the point that even the charges presented to a Grand Jury for consideration have to be pried free.
There was an attempt to slip one by, like "yeah, the jury settled on wanton endangerment" followed by downcast sad eyes. This lack of transparency reeks of informational manipulation. And in the classic "pulling back of the curtain," we see how things really work and it sucks. I don't know if the energy is still there, but I suspect if it is, people are going to take to the streets.
And as an aside, all the griping about the media is so misplaced. Without the media spotlight, I can't even imagine what kind of country we'd be living in right now. Sure there is bias, but it doesn't take much to cross reference and get to something real. Just think: this is what they do WITH everyone watching.
