you do lose your guns yes. But every other time you prestige you get an extra custom class slot. I.E. after 1st prestige you get a6th slot for a custom class, after the 3rd prestige you get a 7th custom class, and so on. You also get access to Prestige only playlists, but I havent done those yet. And to be honest havent needed the extra custom classes, in MW2 I needed them a lot.
 
Prestiging its pretty pointless. Unless you need more weapon classes, which I don't, its pointless.
 
yeah I'm kinda agreeing. With the maps pretty much being close quartered you can get away with an SMG or Assault Rifle. In MW2 where there were large maps, small ones, medium size etc. You needed the diverse ranged weapons and all that so it helped. I havent even used my extra prestige class tbh

yeah def havent needed the extra classes so far. I run around with an AK47-U with Marathon, Lightweight, and and Steady Aim (once its pro I can look down sights faster from sprinting) And just a silencer. Its lots of fun running like crazy down the side of the map and coming in behind their whole team. Catches them off guard a lot.
 
Meh, i prestiged for the extra class so i could use it for a sniper class that i will use twice. I won't bother to prestige anymore after i reach level 50 again.
 
This is a great time for COD gamers and a horrible time. On one thing, all the kids got the game for christmas, so if you want to commence in a mass raping, get online right now. But the negative is that they all use the stupid crap like launchers and last stand. It's driving me crazy. It's imposisble to play domination right now.

Yeah I just think part of the fun of the game is working toward leveling up. Its never even close to the same as the first time when you're dying to get the next gun but its just another challenge thats kind of fun. After a while on level 50 you feel kind of repetitive replaying the same thing over and over.

Anywho my xbox is on the way back from wherever the hell they repair them. I've had NBA 2k11 sitting on my desk for a week now, can't wait to drop 8 hours a day on that game but thinking of getting Black Ops pretty soon.

Has anyone played Battlefield Bad Company 2? I'm starting to get bored of Black Ops and Amazon has the former for 30 bucks.

great game. I honestly have had a lot more fun with it than COD.
 
I picked it up for the ps3, hopefully it still has some people playing online.

After playing Bad Company 2 for several days now, i have to agree. I like the slower pace and it's a lot less frustrating than COD.
 
I might have to give BC2 a try again. I only played it for a few minutes after my kids bought it.

I hope they offer up some new maps for Black Ops soon.

that and to me its just so much more intense.. you survive crap and can still kill people. And stuff exploding all around you. Last time I played there was a mortar strike on my position as I was sprinting behind the other team as stuff was exploding all around me I took two of them out with my SCAR, one with my pistol, and as another guy was about to turn around I knifed him.. I felt like a total badass lol.
 
Dude, if you think BC2 is badass check out Bad Company: Vietnam. It's epic. People literally come out from behind trees and rape you.
 
Meh, I just couldn't get used to BC.

Lately I've been giving Black Ops a break and playing COD4. Still love this game and surprisingly a lot of people are still playing it, too.

I havent played this game in so long. For some reason FPS games have gotten stale for me. Nothing new at all. I'm contemplating trading it in for $35 value deal at Gamestop.
 
I've been playing it for about a week now and I'm not impressed. The graphics are weak compared to MW2 and there's just something different about the damage output. It seems like it takes more damage to kill someone. It's irritating. In MW2, if there were three guys in a room, the first burst from my gun would kill one, I'm already moving on to the second guy... but in Black Ops the first burst doesn't kill the first guy and I barely get him before the other two gun me down. I'm just not feeling it.
 
I sold it back to Amazon after buying Bad Company 2 and realizing i hadn't played it since Christmas. These games are like crack, but get REALLY old after a while. It seems like there are way too many first person shooters coming out anymore, need something different like Socom 4.

It does take longer for you to die. It's one thing they changed, and they are having some issues with hit detection.

If you don't like the game, then you will be happy to know that on Nov. 11, 2011.. Modern Warfare 3 will be upon us.

It's not by IW though. I'm wondering if it will suck major ass.
 
Sledgehammer Games is helping Infinity Ward with the single player, while Raven Software is working on the multiplayer
