For each pairing, what's the chance that it would attract Durant in Free Agency?

A) Lillard & Griffin
B) Lillard & P.George
C) Lillard, CJ, and Horford

I'd say A) 10%, B) 20%, C) 15%.

No but Boston is now reported to be willing to offer Brooklyn's Lottery pick if another team is willing to take on David Lee.

I doubt that is all they are asking for. Philly would take Lee for a whole lot less.

How much of Griffins "douchiness" is due to his environment? He has kind of grown with a cry-baby-veteran and now a cry-baby-coach, giving him a huge sense of entitlement. Maybe a change of team culture, and out of the LA area would benefit him and help him focus on just playing ball?

This is something I thought about...Kaman was considered a douche in Dallas and with the Lakers...that's what you'd have to bank on with the guy. That he would buy into the culture here and be a good fit..

Yeah. Definately interesting, a change might so him some good. But would still have to give up more than we can afford.

Imagine how much he'll hate not getting whistles anymore.

Strikes me as someone who wouldn't like to be in Portland, compared to a place like LA, so we'd likely only get another full year. For that reason alone I wouldn't trade CJ. CJ has a high enough ceiling that whoever you trade him for better be good and better be here for several seasons. Or just don't trade him.

I don't think the Clippers are actually shopping him so it doesn't matter anyway.

The Hoops Family has been rudderless since Zbo left. Blake could get them drag racing up and down SW Broadway in Kias!

Griffin and Lillard would be the most marketed duo in the league (when it comes to commercials), so he wouldn't dislike this place for the market. If he disliked it here, it would actually be due to the city itself.

It would be damn hard to turn down a Griffin trade as long as it wasn't centered around Lillard. The guy is a beast and if you can get a superstar you have to take the change. The only real problem I see is we may not be able to get him to stay after next year and may be in a situation to either pay full price for an injured superstar to see him walk without us accomplishing anything or paying full price for an injured superstar and then having to trade him for 50 cents on the dollar next year if we know he will leave in FA.

He grew up in Oklahoma City, but Los Angeles molded his big city Joe Cool personality. He is used to lots of money from local ads. He is used to being on a top team every year, on which he doesn't cause the wins. He would not stay here.

BUT.......all he does is Slam Dunk. Please Keep Plumlee. I think we stay with who we have. We have already surpassed the leagues expectation of this team. Lets view and add a more substantial talent pool at the end of the season

You haven't watched Griffin in the last 2 years, have you? He's vastly improved his game.

Nobody questions Griffin's talent...just like nobody questioned Gilbert Arenas talent...talent is not the flag with either guy...it's a question of how long before he melts down...who's going to keep him in line? It's actually a dilemma...I think GMs will be stumbling over themselves trying to trade for him. My gut says he'll want to be in OKC when it's all over

Blake Griffin is a choir boy compared to Arenas... that's a horrible comparison.

Horrible comparison? ...choir boy? ok.....both suspended for altercations with members of the organization, Griffin is a repeat offender for bullying...you must know some really disturbed choir boys Stren...but it's all good...you trust Griffin's character a whole lot more than I ever will. Personally, I don't like the guy..and my comparison is that they are both basketball talents with anger management issues.....now I don't think that's a stretch

Uhhh..... Do you really want to go down that rabbit hole? Gilbert Arenas... He's a horrible human being. If Blake Griffin starts bringing guns into the locker room OR gets other teammates to do that, AND say which one do you want me to shoot you with, and also robbing people and companies, then we can talk about comparisons.

Blake Griffin is not a saint, and never will be known as one... but to compare him to a sociopath...

And, you do realize when I say choir boy its to accentuate Arenas, not Griffin. Right, right? I mean, it's pretty easy to see that, I would think.

I think the guy is a giant tool, and hate looking at him, but that would quickly change ifhe was wearing scarlet and black. I'd love to keep Lillard and CJ and find a way to land him. But if push came to shove, I'd likely move CJ for him. I don't see us as a great match with the Clippers currently. I think it'd have to be a 3 team deal to get it done, with us likely sending Vonleh somewhere t a rebuilding team,a nd that team sending a piece or pieces to LA, on top of us sending other pieces there as well.

You're exaggerating my comparison...troubled player with anger management issues ...both talented...but it's like saying, how bad is bad....you're comparing the level of bad....I'm comparing the difference between talent and anger issues...neither player is in prison

Arenas probably will be, though.

http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/61933/landing-a-punch-on-michael-jordan

"I took exception to something he said,” Kerr says. “So I was talking back and I don’t think Michael appreciated that ... and we got in the lane and he gave me a forearm shiver to the chest and I pushed him back. And next thing you know, our teammates were pulling him off of me.”

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound Kerr wound up with a black eye. He threw some punches before it was broken up, too.

Is it great when members of an organization fight? No. But it happens. Most of these guys didn't get to the level they're at by not being hyper competitive. I'd take his talent in a second and worry about the rest later.
