Sprewell choked his coach in Golden State but man he was a beast in Minnesota with Garnett and as a Knick in the beginning...then he went Kookoo for Cocoa puffs again...you roll the dice...Spurs hated Rodman, but when he got to Chicago..we all know how that went..Kaman was considered a nutjob by D'Antoni with the Lakers..I tell ya...we're the best 12 step program the league has to offer in Portland!

No he didn't.

That was Kermit Washington.

Dude, huge foul!

Of course...I meant Darryl Dawkins. But that makes a good point too. People liked Kermit Washington as well and he was beloved even after when he was here in the community and had a radio show with Mychal Thompson.

Man I was shocked to see Mychal Thompson at the allstar game..he's really aged

my god...I'm getting that mad cow again? In answer....I sometimes skip to the recent post mode and I didn't read yours..sorry Nate..
We are all guilty of "reading up" at times.

Lucas didn't cold cock Dawkins.
Long live Bill Laimbeer!!! The bond villain of my youth! Fearless, in your face, Bad Boy Bill! I'd love to see Meyers hire him in the offseason to work on his inner fireball

Ive been limited on time and haven't been on much. Did any of you hear that there's as Den/LAC proposal in the mix with Griffin? We might have a shot at him!

Yes but he didn't cold cock him.

It sure looks like he comes in from behind and hits him in the head in that video. Right at the 17 second mark. How exactly would you describe that?

This is your original post,

Most Blazer fans want the total boy scout even if a little attitude would make them a better team. Which is quite a change because Maurice Lucas (RIP) was beloved and he cold-cocked Rudy T.

Luke was defending his teammates, only Philly fans were going to hate him for that.

You're trying to say that Lucas was the aggressor/bad guy in that fight, he wasn't.

And as I said immediately afterwards, meant Darryl Dawkins. Both situations had explanations and I totally like that Luke came to Gross's defense but he did hit him from behind. I wasn't trying to say Lucas was the aggressor or bad guy at all. Keep the mind reading to the night job.

I was making the point that Portland has loved guys before that had a bit of an edge physically but now many people want a Boy Scout.

Let me tell you something about what Dwight Howard said about Blake Griffin after he played Pineway Golf Course. Fuck Blake Griffin.

I'd rather have Peter Griffin.

Joel Przybilla had a boat full of edge

What happens on Pineway Golf Course...stays on Pineway Golf Course!

Blazers fans loved that but would they have loved it as much if he'd been like that before against their Blazers and then come here?

It's like moving to another climate...seems weird for a few months and then you just don't notice it that much anymore..if humans have anything in common with cockroaches...it's that we're adaptable

We wouldn't get him even for that. CJ would be the starting point

If Blake was still healthy putting up 23/10 yes. But his current value has never been lower. He had a second surgery on his shooting hand. He missed his rookie year with injuries. He's had numerous other injuries including chronic tendinitis. He has anger management issues and off court problems. There is a ton of risk in acquiring Griffin. The tough thing about superstar trades is the new team has to have enough pieces to fight for home court after the trade. So you can't straight up get the best player or second best from another team.

I'm not sure the Blazers have the assets to get a deal done but there is no way they put CJ in a deal. There is so much risk in acquiring a player like Griffin and he could ultimately walk in 2017.

If a Griffin trade does happen I think its something such as the Atlanta 3 team one I had in another thread. Multiple young pieces go to Altanta, Horford and vets go to Clips, Blake goes to Blazers.

Good example of an all-star trade being for far less than many would expect. The Pistons gave up Zeljko Rebraca, Bob Sura, Lindsey Hunter, Chucky Atkins and two picks.

Recently there has been the Pau Gasol, James Harden, CP3 trades. These are allstar players acquired with far inferior counterparts from another team; often the 4th or 5th valued options.
