been a lot of chatter about Blazer cap-space next summer, so I thought I'd do a 'as-it-stands-now' look at it:
Damian Lillard $42,492,492
Eric Bledsoe $3,900.000
Justise Winslow $4,097,561
Keon Johnson $2,681,040
Nassir Little $4,171,548
Greg Brown III $1,563,518
Andrew Nicholson $2,844,429
Jusuf Nurkić $18,000,000(cap-hold)
Anfernee Simons $11,816,454 (cap-hold)
Ben McLemore $1,766,970
CJ Elleby $1,966,970 (qualifying offer)
Josh Hart $12,960,000 (non-guaranteed)
Nickeil Alexander-Walker $5,009,633(team option)
Didi Louzada $1,876,222
Blazer 2022 first round pick $4,000,000 (estimate)
$118,946,837
Wait a minute says I....where is this 60M number coming from?
if Portland renounced Hart, McLemore, Elleby, and NAW they'd clear 20M of that guarantee away. that would put them at 99M. But they accrue two roster charges putting them at about 101M. With a 121M salary cap that would leave them 20M in cap-space. That's a long way from 60M
maybe the Blazers can re-sign Nurkic for 12-15M first year salary. That would give then 23-26M in cap-space. Trading him now for an expiring contract would bump the Blazers up to around 40M in space
