Flynn was a horrible pick by Kahn and I'm sticking to that! Probably won't be able to convince you of that though.

Prior to that draft I had a quote over on RealGM saying exactly, "Some idiot GM is going to fall in love with Flynn's personality, 'leadership qualities', and that 6 OT game and draft him way too high, only to watch him bust."

Sadly, it was our idiot GM.

Personally I would rather discuss with fans of a different fanbase with different ideas than to parrot the same crap over and over with people who believe the same thing that I do.

It's like Dems/Reps that only read their party's rhetoric, or Christians/Muslims/Jews/Buddhists that only read about their own beliefs without at least learning what others belief. Maybe it's the innate fear of differing opinions?

Exactly right. Well said. As long as you're not trolling (and being provocative is different), you're more than welcome here. I also love to get the perspective of other teams and their fans.

Nice avatar. I chuckled at first, then thought it was really cruel of you to display and mock.

Any half-way intelligent fan of another team is welcome here... Even that Laker fan who never posts anymore was one of my favorite posters. I hope the influx of Timberwolves fans will generate one such good poster.

I don't mean this as a dig, but what's it like rooting for the 4th maybe 5th most popular sport (sports team) in the state?

Not to be mean here but the wolves have a similar if not greater following in Minnesota as the Blazers do here. So not sure what your point is. Having all 4 major sports is pretty nice.

Sounds more like it's up and coming. In portland we only have MLS soccer and college football. That means the fanbase is that much more interested/dedicated to the only sport they can watch live. If there was a hockey game and an NFL play off game, that Timberwolves sales would dip for the night. Am I wrong?

Arena: Target Center ▪ Attendance: 577,197 (17th of 30)
Arena: Rose Garden Arena ▪ Attendance: 676,384 (9th of 30)

Try to show it, folks.

Think here. That's while having 3 other major sports to compete with. The Twins and the Wild with overlapping schedules. Has no bearing on Wolves fans. I'll bet our two teams are pretty close which is pretty sad for Minny.

The competing with other major sports is exactly what I was referring to though.

Do all three play at the same time? Nice try, though.

Choosing between a Twins or Timberwolves game sounds like the most depressing part of your evenings.

Twins: Regular season record: 36-49
Wolves: Regular season record: 26-40
Wild: Regular season record: 35-47
Vikings: Regular Season record: 3-13

Congrats on your 4 sports franchises... I guess.

You got me there. It does suck sometimes. However, the Wild and the Wolves are on their way up!

This post goes really well with your avatar.

It's why I picked it; I can really be a jerkoff sometimes.

Kilkenny, I'm glad you're a good sport about this abuse. It's obvious that good sports are rare in Minnesota! :ghoti:

I've maintained this for months, and especially since the draft:

D'Antoni is the guy.

Lillard/Aldridge/Batum/Leonard would be monsters in this system.

Lillard in particular with his ability to shoot and his (apparently) elite P&R ability.

In NY he didn't have the right pieces for that offense, they're here in Portland.

I don't think he would make us a contender at any point during his tenor in Portland, but he would get us out of the first round and make the Blazers insanely fun to watch.

Who are these new fucks showing up on my forum? I take one afternoon off and these roaches show up?

I'd take Portland with the Blazers and Timbers over Minny and the 4 pro teams....I've been to Minnesota a few times to visit family....it's alright, but the pacific northwest is the best

All mid-west cities are very, very 'meh' outside Chicago.

Speaking of the NFL, being so freaking close to Seattle, which the NFL sees as one big market (Seattle+Portland), we wont see an NFL team in this city.

But lets not turn this topic into a pissing contest with these T-Pup fans.

I'm being serious! Who are all these rookies from Minny on my forum? I don't come on here for 12 hours and they are everywhere talking smack to my people. Can somebody tell me how this started?

This perpetual door mat all of a sudden has this fan base that has the gall to talk down to a vastly/historically superior franchise.

Factoring in the turmoil/coach/injuries; The rise of Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love - let's take a look at the 2012 attendance, shall we:

#2:Portland Trailblazers
#15: Minnesota Timberwolves

Best fans on the planet are from the Pacific Northwest. Until you surpass middle-of-the-pack in this category, then talk about "best fans"
